Will this fit 28cm diameter plates?

Yes they will. My plates are 28cm and I have them in the bottom and middle shelves of the rack.

has this got any sharp edges/ ends?

No - the metal corners are rounded very slightly. We're happy with the rack and think it's good quality. We'd buy again.

How can Metaltex Corner shelf insert silos be 25x25x195cm? do you mean 19.5?

25cm converts to 9 3/4 ( nine & three quarter) inches....19.5 cm refers to the curve joining the 2 straight sides.

Will this take a 27 cm diameter plate in the bottom tier, please?

Yes. I have 27cm plates on the bottom and middle tiers of my corner rack.
