I am an average regular guy blessed with nice (sexy?? 😆) hair, and I've grown it out for the first time to medium length. I'm not going to have great hair forever, so I'm putting in extra effort. I've been experimenting with different ways of styling it. If I want to make myself especially presentable, I'll blow dry it with a round brush for volume (yes, guys), and then right away while it has the volume I'll use some of this. For my hair length, I'll sprinkle some at the roots and then I'll bend over so my head is upside down and basically shake my hair with my hands so it distributes evenly. I love this stuff. It eliminates the weight of your hair's natural oil so it keeps volume, stays pliable, and looks natural. The nice thing is that you can sculpt your hair again later in the day and it mostly does what you want without your having to fight with it. Even if your hair gets windblown (say, on a rollercoaster), you can just put it back in the general style with your fingers and it looks great. Don't overdo it. A very small amount goes a long way, and if you put too much in, your hair sticks together more and it defeats the purpose. If you overdo it, it's also more difficult to wash out and tends to accumulate. At first, I used it every day, but then I noticed it accumulating in my hair over time and it was harder to style, so now I only use it a couple of times a week, giving my hair a break without product on days I'm not going out much. Is it pricy? Yeah, but when you consider how little of it you need, it's actually pretty reasonable. I can't compare it to other similar products, as I haven't tried those yet. I figured I'd start with the higher end stuff and then try less expensive products later and compare them to this.

What a god-send! I have thinning hair and styling is getting harder without lots of back combing and hairspray. I used this for the first time and 3 days later all I had to do was fluff it up a bit. I can put just a very small amount at the roots where my hair is the thinnest and it ads the volume I've been desperately missing. I also appreciate that less back combing means less damage. This a lifesaver!

It does work well, a little small for the money but for the most part, I am enjoying it.

Went back to work after a break and found that my hair was becoming flat and greasy. Was happening to some of my coworkers who also had longer hair and did not want to have to wash and style our hair every day. One of our clients suggested this product and at first I thought it was like the baby powder we used to use back in the day when we were at school! I was surprised at the size of the container as it seemed small and light but then realized you do not need a lot to make a difference. Just a small sprinkle in the morning really adds height and volume to your hair and it looks like you have spent a while styling when really all you have done is add the magic powder and pouff you are catwalk ready! It does not leave a residue like baby powder and there is no build up. I thought it was expensive when ordering but really it saves so much time in the mornings that I am now a fan. Also tried their mousse product for when I do wash my hair. Great for overseas travel too when you are on the road and probably be good if you were RVing and did not have access to shower daily. Worth the spend.

I have very thin, fine hair, and this product really works. The SexyHair Big Powder Play Volumizing & Texturizing Powder is easy to use and gives instant lift when you apply it directly to the roots. It adds volume right where thin hair needs it most. A little goes a long way. If you use too much, it can weigh your hair down, but when you apply it lightly at the roots, it gives great texture and lift that lasts. I’ve also had good results with other Big Sexy Hair products. Their root and volumizing products work especially well for thin hair without making it feel heavy or sticky. If you have fine hair and struggle with flat roots, this is a great product to try.

The product is nice but such a tiny amount and this little bottle wasn’t even halfway full so I went through it way too quick. It is lightweight and it definitely keeps its hold in my hair. I noticed that the next day my hair feels a little weird, but it washes out easy. Not sure if I would purchase again with how little product.

I have fine, short hair and I’ve been using Big Sexy Hair Powder Play for over 10 years now. At this point, if they ever discontinue it, I may need to enter a witness protection program. 😂 A little goes a LONG way. Seriously. That tiny bottle lasts a long time if you use it correctly. You only need a small sprinkle right at the roots. And whatever you do… don’t try to brush through it afterward unless you want to personally experience chaos. This stuff is meant to lock everything in place and give instant volume and texture. I’ve tried every “dupe,” every texturizing powder, every “just use talcum powder” suggestion, and nope. Not even close. Talcum powder is NOT the same thing. Powder Play actually gives grip, lift, and hold without making my hair feel heavy. If you have fine hair and want volume without teasing your hair into another dimension, this stuff is absolutely worth it.

I've had dead straight hair that does not hold a curl my whole life. Recently, because my hair was thinning on top, I decided to get layers. I knew I'd be looking at less volume and little definition. With about 3 to 5 seconds per curl with my curling iron, and about 6 sprinkles of Powder Play, I got a great hairstyle that has essentially lasted for 4 days. All I've had to do is wet my hands slightly and tussle my hair since evening one (and that may be because it's been fairly dry out). My hair behaved; I had natural looking waves and definition was added to the layers. Also, thinning hair was masked. The first night it was a bit sticky underneath, but not a problem. I didn't notice it after that. Had this product been available decades ago, I'd have had great looking hair my whole life. The reason I'm raving about this product? I am sensitive to chemicals and so have never been able to use hairspray and have yet to try a non-toxic one that is worth it. Also, And creams and gels weigh down my hair, and finding any hair product without fragrance is next to impossible. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Bringt tolles Volumen - selbst in sehr feines, dünnes Haar. Das beste Haar-Volumenpuder, was ich bisher ausprobiert habe. Sehr ergiebig! Das Haar fühlt sich nach der Anwendung zwar etwas "stumpf" an, aber wer wirklich Probleme mit feinen Haaren hat, der wird das "in kauf nehmen". Die Haare sehen richtig voll aus. Bin sehr zufrieden und empfehle dieses Puder gern weiter.
