## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this need to be seasoned before using?**
A: I own 2 of these sets and use them as well outdoors on gas / charcoal stove and indoors on my induction cooktop.
The pot and pans have a heat resistant silicone coating which does not have to be removed before first use.
As after some time of use this coating is getting thinner and the steel surface comes visible I usually rub the pot with some oil before storage.
I didn't had to season the pot like I do it with my steel wok.
The newer Pot is only used for cooking rice, so there will be no wear on the silicone coating.
The Pot is designed as rice cooker or to prepare stews, soups or ramen, and the little pans are very good to fry small portions of lard, meat, vegetables or eggs.
If you want to use this like a small dutch oven with charcoal on the Lid, I recommend to use the Snow Peak Korodachi's CS-503R, CS-502R, CS501R or the big Dutch Oven CS-520 instead.

**Q: Details said stainless steel.  Is this cast iron or not?**
A: It is all cast iron

**Q: Does anyone have color bleeding while washing it?**
A: The coating from factory plays a factor for color bleeding. I usually remove those coatings and apply a coating of my liking. Either way the coatings always flake off depending on how hot you get the iron.
