– 5 x Airlock S-Bubble Type with Grommets

I've only used one of these bubblers when I needed to ferment a bit more cider. I drilled then filed a round hole ( about 12mm ) in the lid of a supermarket 5 liter water container . It all worked well.

My old s-bubble airlocks had become soiled and one of them even cracked while I was trying to clean it. These looked direct replacements, but proved to be more solid and have a very slightly larger circumference. This was not a problem as the bottom ends are tapered and therefore fit into my existing grommets. The airlocks have sharp edges on the seams where the two halves are welded together, and these would damage the grommets, but a few seconds with a file fixed that. I like the caps for the top ends, which will help keep them clean between brews. I just completed a batch of hop nectar and the airlock worked perfectly.

So much better than the cheap tube type that comes with most brew kits. No worries on evaporation or excessive pressure drawing back in outside air.

Just what I needed

These are plastic which might seem worse than glass but at least you can't break them. The free grommits were a bit too small for my 17mm hole on the ss brewtech brew bucket so I had to source a bung elsewhere but the airlocks themselves worked well.

They match very well 'stonylabs' rubber bungs.

I DIDN'T RECIEVE ANY GROMMETS WITH MY ORDER. I ORDERED THESE PRECISELY BECAUSE THEY CAME WITH GROMMETS!!!!
