Accusize Industrial Tools Inside Micrometer, 0.2-1.2", EG00-3221

Hello all, just wanted to give my experience with the Accusize 0.2”-1.2” inside micrometer. Received 10-31-2020. First, I am a home machinist and do not rely on these tools to make a living. Second, this is an unbiased review, that is, I did not receive this micrometer free or for a discount for a favorable review. I will say that the micrometer I received is very good in all respects. The entire length of travel is very smooth - the satin chrome finish is excellent - the scale marks are clear and well defined - the ability of repeat measurements taken with my Brown & Sharpe height gage are right on - the ability to take different measurements along the full travel proved accurate when measured against my grade A gage block set - the thimble lock holds well. This mic compares evenly with weight and feel to my Starrett outside micrometers. The included standard was accurate when checked with a pin gage. The fit and finish is very good. Is it a 240.00 Mitutoyo, no of course not. Again, I do not rely on these tools to make a living, but for sub 70.00 inside micrometers, I am very satisfied. I will be ordering the 1”-2” next and will provide my thoughts on it as well.

Handy tool. If you want accurate bores and struggle with telescoping gauges like I do, you need this. The markings are a little crude (1 star deducted) but you're not paying big brand prices. I have found that you need to calibrate any inside mic more often than an outside mic, particularly if you're looking for high accuracy

It is not a Mitutoyo but it is close enough for the price differential. Smooth and accurate bang for the buck I have given it a 5.

One of these was acceptable, but the other has a loose jaw that could not be tightened to eliminate the play. That said, the design seems almost identical to the Mitutoyo, the barrel is smooth and the ratchet works fine. Also, these are fully adjustable and can be calibrated just like the Mitutoyo 145 using the included spanner. You just rotate the barrel (part with graduations). However, I am not sure how they expect people to know that since there are no instructions and the video on Amazon about how to calibrate has no description.

Good tool for the money. After calibrating with the standard provided, it seemed to read true. The screw is a little rough in places but not that bad. Perhaps a little lubricating oil will fix that.

I have owned them for a couple days at this point. Using a mitutoyo outside micrometer, measurement are true. Being that its a tool that uses a screw for measurement, it should stay true as long it is not abused. The tricky part however is in the measurement of bores. The ratchet, even though works like it normally works on a outside mitutoyo mic, shouldn't be used. Just like I never use it on a outside mic. Measurements must be done by feel and one needs to learn the tool before using it for making something as critical as making a housing for a bearing for example. Even though it's made in China, it feels like a top of the line mic. I bought a .2-1.2 and a 1-2. They both felt legit and for now will be keeping them with satisfaction. Might consider more accusize tools in the future.

Nice for the money. Came with a standard so I had to adjust the barrel as the reading was off by 0.002" by the standard. Then I measured the inside micrometer with my outside micrometer and it is perfect. Much better then using telescopic gauges.
