Frank Lloyd Wright Window Designs Stained Glass Coloring Book (Dover Design Coloring Books) [Dennis Casey] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Frank Lloyd Wright Window Designs Stained Glass Coloring Book (Dover Design Coloring Books) Review: So gorgeous! Coloring book - I'm not sure why people are saying they didn't realize this was a coloring book. It says that right on the cover and description. So this is a coloring book. Pages are like a thick tissue paper. Black ink does not smear. Panels are printed both sides, pages perforated. Designs are from simple to a bit "busy" with small areas, so there's something for all. I recommend using watercolor or felt pens! That way when you hang them in your window or near a light the colors glow thru like a real stained glass. Very relaxing and an easy way to add some beauty to your space. Review: Great for Frank Lloyd Wright fans! - I love this coloring book! Frank Lloyd Wright was an amazing architect, so when I saw this book, I had to order it. I love that it's a stained glass coloring book. My first recommendation is to remove the page you will be coloring. Otherwise, it will be hard to distinguish the lines in the picture you are coloring from the ones behind it. I remove the picture then clip it onto a clipboard with a piece of white paper behind it. This allows me to better see the colors. You don't have to use a background paper, but I find it's easier to see how the colors look and if you miss any areas. The designs are really cool and my husband and kids also enjoy using the book. I have used gel pens and markers. I personally prefer the markers to the gel pens, as any streaks in the gel pens will show up. Get this book if you are a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and also like to color!

I'd like more info from Dover/ or Amazon
I got this recently and I'm pumped because the designs are beautiful and the pages a neat thick type of plastic (?) as some reviews have mentioned, However right now I'm frustrated that -the book itself does not suggest a best coloring tool for the pages -I can't ask questions because there is not the usual Question and Answer option provided by Amazon I see a review that suggests felt-tip pens (thank you) but I'd just like more suggestions.... the pages feel a bit precious to go trial and error but it looks like that is what I'll have to do, Unless I missed a test page in the book (I don't have it in front of me) - that would be neat and good on Dover.

Yahoo. A different stained glass book!
Dover coloring books are consistently good. This book has historical references to 16 FL Wright windows listed on the inside cover. Beautifully rendered designs are on vellum (I think) coloring paper (as are all of the Dover stained glass coloring books), and are appropriate for an older, steady-handed student, in my opinion. This book is particularly appropriate for those who love art deco and/or stained glass who wants to see fine, famous, geometric patterns. The linear, organic subjects are simple but are rendered in a variety of line thicknesses thereby seeming to be more difficult to color. The cover art is a true representation. Pages are perforated to remove them when working or when finished, thus keeping the book neat. I enjoyed one of these stained glass coloring books as a child, and I bought a few recently to share with visiting grandkids. Or with girlfriends whilst drinking wine. And we did, and we do!

Great gift for a crafter or artist!
A neat coloring book for artists or graphic design fans. 16 pages of windows from different Frank Lloyd Wright homes. They are simple, straightforward black-outlined designs on translucent vellum. After coloring them in, the pages can be placed in your own windows or used in other craft projects (maybe around a glass jar with fairy lights inside?). Very nice and good quality vellum.

Great Idea!
I have always loved Frank Lloyd Wright, and was excited to see this coloring book. The pages are perforated for easy removal (a BIG plus!). The only thing you need to know is that you must use felt tipped pens to color these pages. The pages are translucent, and once they are colored, they have the appearance of stained glass windows. This was a great idea!

A coloring book ?!
Didn’t realize it was a coloring book when I ordered it but if you are up for it, it’s quite good.

Stunning artwork
I had found and bought this book before and lost it when our truck was stolen. I am so happy to be able to get it again. The quality is of a high standard and holds up to years of handling and each picture makes a wonderful bright and beautiful window hanging. I recommend this book to any fan of Frank Lloyd Wright or anyone who enjoys creating their own unique art.

I was very impressed with the stencils in the book,it allowed full reign with color and imagination.

I wish I had read the reviews first. This is a coloring book. Sure, you can use it as a pattern book also, and the pages are nice quality, and can be torn out (they come perforated to be torn out) -- but it's a coloring book... if you're not familiar with Frank Lloyd Wright's work, and want to use this book as a pattern reference, you'll either have to look up more reference for what color glass to use, or you'll just have to pick your own glass/colors.
