Space Age Crystal Kit: 13 Crystals

I love making crystals with my kids. this kit is pretty good. There is another one that I like a little better in a blue box but the directions are a little better in this set than the other. so it is a great set still. The crystals will not look like the ones on the box no matter what set you buy. have a little lower expetations but it is still a very easy and fun activity to do as a family and you get to see them grow over a few days/ weeks in your window seal or where ever you put them.

I purchased this for my 9 year-old son who has an affinity for geodes, crystals, and the like. This kit has many projects to embark on, but it also requires more materials than provided(one of which are specific types of rocks). I happened to buy this for Christmas, so we couldn't locate the right rocks for the experiment. We'll have to wait until the snow thaws out. Otherwise a great gift.

Good product, my sons were excited about growing crystals. Dye doesn't incorporate too well into the NaP crystals so the crystal are not anywhere near as intense in color as the packaging displays. Its important to slow the rate of cooling to produce large crystals (put the solution in a small cooler or other insulated container). A great way to educate your kids - it was a great family learning experience.

It's always a risk when you're buying vintage items from a new seller. I'll make a long story short and say there was a problem with the item (no one's fault) & I was bummed. The seller here reached out to me and did everything in his power to make it right. Responsiveness and helpfulness were definitely five star here and I'd order from this seller again.

Kids like it. Just bought it for their gifts before summer. Hope to keep them busy and thinking. :-)

This kit does what it promises, but the instructions are not the most clear to everyone. Not for younger children.
