Brilliant beginner kit
I bought this for my daughter. It did take a bit of time setting up and getting all the various bars connected and tightened properly took a bit of time. But it was all easy enough and required a bit of patience connecting all the pieces. But the quality and the easy to follow instructions were excellent. If you are looking to start out on drums, this is a great compact little electronic drum kit that provides good quality sounds. The month supplied access to lessons is actually also quite good and after playing around a bit, got it working on an iPad. I did try this on a Windows 10 laptop using a USB cable, but this didn't work very well and got a little frustrated trying to get the kit to be recognised on the laptop. But the moment I connected this to an iPad, it worked straight away. So I would recommend this to anyone looking to not break the bank account and wanting to get started with playing drums with some easy to start lessons.

Great bit of kit
We got this for our 10 year old son who is doing drum lessons. Building was a pain in the bum but once built the are very sturdy and strong. The wires could do with a little more give in them but all just reached. It was larger than I expected and not so easy to fold away so will end up staying up and taking up more room, if you want quiet dont let your kids take drums full stop as you can hear him especiallythe foot peddles. All this said my boy loves them they have everything he has on his lessons the sound is amazing and he has been on them for days and days, it has the timing and lots and lots of other things for him to do now at his level but also when he does progress he can link a laptop to it and do other things also. We did by him the matching headphones to them and he has tested them to his gaming headset and he says that the alesis head set is better for the drum set, he wanted these over all others as they have the same positioning as a real drum set and the same sound and feel .being un musical myself i didnt have a clue so his music teacher gave us a list of sets but recommended these and over all well worth the money.

Great for beginners
Bought this for my son as a Xmas present as he has been learning the drums at school for a few months. Was super easy to put together and comes with easy to read instructions. The mesh heads feel really smooth and responsive when hit and the built in functions make learning and improving fun and easy. I especially like the built in metronome with added timing indicator which shows you if your going too fast or too slow. This kit is almost silent when headphones are plugged in, however we do hear some pounding from the foot pedals when we are downstairs as the kit is in my sons upstairs bedroom, but other than that it is silent and my son loves practicing on it. The only one negative we have come across is that the snare drum is sometimes unresponsive when hit, we are unsure yet whether this is due to the way my son is hitting it or whether there is a fault with that pad. We will see in time. All in all a very good starter kit for beginners to learn on and great value for money

Great starter kit and bargain price
This set was on offer in the run up to Christmas and it saved us almost £100 on the regular price. It has all that is needed to get a young child learning to play the drums, the free lessons will be very helpful too, highly recommended as a starter kit.

Amazing value for money
Wanting to get back into drumming for years but a large acoustic set in the home is out of the question. After some research I looked for a reasonable mesh e-kit and a number of reviews pointed me to the Alesis Turbo. Is it the best e-kit ever? No - but for the £215 I paid for a kit to play at home it is simply outstanding. Took about 30 mins to unpack and set up, seems robust and solid so far. Can be plugged into an amp or through headphones. Mesh pads and cymbals respond nicely. Only snags - the hi-hat pedal release is a little too high, the ride cymbal a little too quiet and the range of sounds is limited, but again for the price that's not an issue and I'll get used to it. I might get an expansion pack just for an additional crash cymbal at some point. Great for kids too - a few small adjustments & they fit nicely. For the price point, highly recommended.

Grab yourself drum software for sounds, then this is superb (cymbals too quiet)
The kit is easy to assemble, and works very well. The built-in sounds from the sound module are "ok" but the main problem is the volume of the cymbals is way too low compared to the rest - to hear the cymbals you need to really hit them hard. I have BFD, so hooked that up (they do a free version too) and tada - glorious sounding drums that I can tune and balance. So far the drums feel like they're going to last, and feel good to play. With BFD the feeling and sound is awesome. The hihat does map to open/closed based on the pedal. There is no choke, but that was known and expected at time of purchase, along without having multiple trigger zones such as rim/bell. No fault with this, as I said this was known and expected, especially for the price. Love having the larger skins to hit, rather than smaller/rubber heads.

Ok for the money.
Took about 20 mins to assemble, sturdy components but easy to handle. The drum set is great for first time drummers like me. There electronic control box is hard work to get to grips with, seems there are too many jobs for some of these buttons which makes the instructions difficult to get my head around. I few more buttons for the major tasks to lighten the load of the other multi tasking buttons. The for pedals are unreliable, they often kick out an extra beat when is not asked for, could do a better. All and all is a reasonable set for the money, but could be a lot better.

The pedals will break !!
So. I purchased this item to use for myself to get myself learning to play the drums. I already play the guitar and Piano / Keyboard so I figured what other way to beat the lockdown blues than to learn another instrument. Knowing nothing about drums I opted for this kit as a friend of mine who is a drummer uses an Alesis product. As a whole for a starter kit this could be a great kit but the kick pedal lets it down as just after one month it stopped working properly before just stopping working altogether. So I mended it and swapped the pedals over then the second pedal done exactly the same. The kick pedal has a design flaw! that results in the Jack socket dismounting from the circuit board inside the pedal. Replacement pedals can cost between £60 to £400. I have just ordered the Nitro Mesh Kit as this has a better pedal. Apparently. In essence would be ok if you are a small human with a light foot. Not a normal sized human like me !

Silence is Golden, But These Mesh Heads Are Pure Platinum for Apartment Drummers
Setting up the Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit was a surprisingly breezy experience, largely due to the lightweight aluminum rack that snaps together with a reassuring stability. I appreciated that the footprint is compact enough to slide into a corner of a bedroom or a small studio space without dominating the room, yet it unfolds into a completely ergonomic setup. The black matte finish on the hardware gives it a sleek, professional aesthetic that defies its entry-level categorization. Getting everything positioned correctly took only a few minutes, and I found the clamps held the pads firmly in place even during more enthusiastic, heavy-hitting sessions. It is immediately clear that the design focus here was on maximizing playability while minimizing the physical hassle often associated with electronic drums. The absolute standout feature of this kit is the mesh technology on the snare and tom pads. In my experience with electronic kits in this tier, you usually encounter hard rubber pads that feel like beating on a countertop—harsh on the wrists and noisy in the room. These mesh heads are a total game-changer; they offer a realistic, acoustic-style rebound that makes practicing rudiments and rolls feel natural and fluid. I took the included drum key and adjusted the tension on the heads, tightening the snare for a crisp snap and loosening the toms for a deeper feel, which is a level of customization that is vital for developing proper stick control. Furthermore, the acoustic volume of the pads is incredibly low. I played vigorously while someone was watching TV in the next room, and the sound of the sticks hitting the mesh was barely a whisper, making this an absolute savior for apartment living. Navigating the Turbo drum module is refreshingly straightforward, avoiding the "menu-diving" paralysis that plagues more complex systems. I cycled through the 10 preset kits and found them to be punchy and distinct, covering everything from tight jazz setups to boomy rock arenas. While the library isn't infinite, the sounds provided are high-quality and latency-free, which is crucial for keeping your timing locked in. I particularly enjoyed the built-in coaching features and play-along tracks; having a metronome and rhythmic exercises integrated directly into the brain of the kit makes warm-ups significantly more engaging. The display is bright and easy to read, ensuring that changing a kit or adjusting the tempo mid-session doesn't break your flow. One specific design choice I appreciate for late-night practice is the beater-less kick pedal. Unlike a traditional kick tower that uses a physical beater striking a pad—which sends a "thud" through the floorboards—this kit uses a responsive trigger pedal that is virtually silent. It took a moment to adjust to the feel since there is no physical impact, but the trigger action is smooth and precise. For recording or expanding the sound palette, the USB-MIDI connection is flawless. I plugged the kit directly into my laptop and instantly triggered high-end drum VSTs in my DAW without any driver headaches. This connectivity transforms the kit from a standalone practice rig into a capable MIDI controller for studio work. Ultimately, the value proposition here relies heavily on the marriage of quiet performance and realistic feel. It bridges the gap between a toy and a serious instrument, providing a platform where a beginner can learn proper technique without forming bad habits caused by poor surfaces. The inclusion of the sticks, the connection cables, and the power supply means there are no hidden costs to get started. I found the entire package to be incredibly cohesive; it is a dedicated tool designed to make drumming accessible, quiet, and physically satisfying, proving that you don't need to break the bank to get a professional-feeling response under your sticks.

Good stuff right here.
Easy to use and easy to setup. They could use more drum kits but having so many already is good. It's not the most exspenvie E-drum kit but plays quite nicely. I would reccomend adding in some rubber floor grips to be able to change out for the spiked ones for people who have hard wood floors instead, but very good for the price of the item none the less. It's a bit tedious to put away and take out all the time specially when you got kids.
