Far better than factory sights. will purchase again in the future.
Ive had my savage mk2 for many years, it was the first gun purchase when i turned 18. I bought it for squirrel and rabbit hunting but now its mostly a plinker when im at the range with a buddy. After experiencing the ghost ring/aperture sight on ar15s and later actual M4s when i joined the army i couldn't get around how crude the factory sights were, so i found these and boy im not disappointed. they're very easy to install if you have a brass drift and some loctite and a small screwdriver. very accurate as well. easy to install if you have basic firearm knowledge and very sturdy.

Great solution
First of all, the only negative reviews on here is from people who apparently aren't capable of reading, and/or capable of determining whether they have the proper holes drilled in their barrels...Moving on, this sight is awesome. I love the MK2, but the factory sights are pathetic, and I didn't really want a scope with magnification...and, I personally think that the rifle looks downright goofy with a reflex or a red dot. These sights are the perfect solution. Installation isn't difficult, just know that when you're tapping out the front factory sight with a punch & hammer, it may take a little more passion than you'd think...I had to whack mine pretty good.

Great sights, great instructions, great price!
Bought these for a Savage Mark II G.Fit & finish was excellent.Instructions were also excellent. I was nervous about drifting the front site out, and while the Tech Sight instructions were clear on the direction, I thought a call to Savage wouldn't hurt. Well, I needn't have worried - Tech Sight's instructions were bang-on! Drifting the old sight out was easy, and installing the new front post was straight forward.I installed the sights at home, but I only used blue Locktite on the rear sight. I waited until I was at the range to Locktite the front site, as I wanted to be sure I had everything lined up ok.Everything's good, and I couldn't be more pleased.

This assumes your rifle is tapped, mine wasn't
Bought this for my Savage MkII. My rifle has grooves milled into the reciever for a scope, but is not drilled and tapped. It looked like the sight would be able to use these grooves to mount, but it doesn't. There is too much curvature in the barrel. It comes with a base you can screw on, but this assumes your rifle is drilled and tapped.

Directions were easy to read and follow
Bought this for our 10 year old son's $-H shooting riffle. Directions were easy to read and follow. My son did it all on his own while I watched. There appears to be questions as to which Mark II long rifle will accommodate the sights, so I included pictures (1) of what the factory dove tail front sight looked like on the rifle (2) the new front sight (3) what comes in the box (4 and 5) rear sight

Order some Loctite when you order the sights.
Order some Loctite when you order the sights, get the smallest container of blue. Other than that, use a quality screwdriver. Don't mount them today and then try to move the front sight tomorrow.

Look great and shoot just as well
Look great and shoot just as well. The wrench helps for adjustment. For the savage mk2 there arent a ton of aftermarket iron sights but if there were more options Im not sure they could make anything much better than this.
