Beautiful book but not for beginners
I received this book yesterday. I was anxiously waiting for it wanting to start a new project. Finally it arrived several days late and altho the book is beautiful and there are a lot of projects I would like to do it is definitely not for a beginner like me. From reading the description I had the idea that the patterns were for beginners and I believed there were children's patterns or children's sizes. Wrong about the kids patterns too. The book says just to make the patterns smaller for children. If you are not an experienced knitter that is something you dont know how to do. So.....I'm back to looking for the proper knitting book for what I wanted. There are some gorgeous snood patterns (cowels) and wrist warmers (open fingered gloves) which I would love to make so maybe I'll get on utube and see if I can find some tutorials and try my luck at learning some of these more advanced stitches. It is a beautiful book with a lot of patterns but definitely dont recomend for a beginner ....maybe not even an advanced beginner which I think I am.

Great for beginner knitters looking to expand their skill
I’m a newly self-taught knitter, and this was the first book that I purchased. The knitting patterns are written in a very easily decoded way (and the glossary of terms certainly helps!). I’ve already learned how to make wrist warmers with two different colored yarns, which is a huge step from only being able to make beginner’s garter stitch swatches a couple months ago. There are so many scarves, snoods, wrist warmers, boot cuffs, headbands, and hats to choose from, all packed into one impressive book. Some of the patterns appear a bit more challenging, with charts that I do not yet understand. But as I continue to advance my new skill, I’ll have higher-level patterns to practice with. I’m glad I bought this book!

Great knitted items
Loved the choices! Every item was knitted with care - the colors and yarn choices were awesome. I like every item and plan to knit them. Thanks for so many great choices to use for birthday and Christmas gifts. I plan to use my single skeins to make gifts.

Some nice patterns, but kind of hard to read ebook
I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited and opened it up on my MacBook. There are some nice projects in this book, but even on the MacBook, the patterns were really small and hard to read. When I enlarged them so I could read the type, there was some blurring to the edges of the letters. I’m not willing to purchase this book because there aren’t enough projects I’d be willing to complete, so I’m not sure I find any of it useful.

Beautiful, but overly complicated knitting codes
I love the variety in the book. A lot of boot cuffs, though. But whoever wrote this overly complicated the knitting codes for the cable knitting patterns. Also, found an error in the cable knit bobble hat. The needle sizes are listed incorrectly. Use the ones listed for the gauge, not the ones above.

Outdated for 2023
Most patterns was fashionable in early 2000 but not cool enough for y2k fashion that has come back in 2023
