Organizer for Catan 5th Edition. Settlers Organizer

I'm a big fan of this product! I have the Base Game, Seafarers and Cities and Knights, along with the 5-6 player expansions for each all packed up nicely in a single box. It does take some doing to get everything packed in there neatly, especially the player pieces. I found that snapping the smaller border pieces together and alternating the spirals for the C&K flipboards gets all of the longer pieces packed away neatly in the long compartment. The only parts that don't fit neatly are the Seafarers end-pieces and the Barbarian chart piece, which all lay across the top with the rulebooks.All of the complaints I've read have to do with assembly. If you're purchasing an item like this, you have to know what you're signing up for though, so I don't understand that gripe at all. Yes, it will take time and care to put it together, but I didn't find any of it particularly difficult or imprecise. Everything went together fine without any wood glue, but I would eventually go back and apply some to a few of the boxes that loosened up over time.Bottomline, this is an excellent organizer for your Catan expansions. Keeps things neat and compact, while also making setting up new games a breeze since all of your expansions are in one box. No hunting through multiple boxes for the pieces you need! A+ product!

First, I think anyone buying this should be aware it needs to be assembled. I missed that and only later read it while waiting for it to arrive when reading another review. It is not that difficult to assemble, but it does take some time. Some pieces can be more difficult then others to get together. But it was well worth it because it is an excellent organizer. Just be careful, it is wood and could break. I know I was afraid I might break a few pieces that required extra force, but I never did. It is possible you might need to sand some pieces, but again I never needed to do this either.I have Catan and both the Seafarers and Cities and Knights expansions. I also have the 5-6 player expansions as well. Everything fits in the box. I even have all the manuals stacked on top and then put the cover on. With all those, it doesn't close fully but that's not really an issue. I just put a couple rubber bands around it.I gave this 5 stars, because it works. It holds everything in a single box - Taking 6 boxes down to 1 is a huge plus and what I was aiming to do. They also thought about ease of management for the dealer and being able to stack the card trays is a big plus. It makes giving out cards easy and keeps everything organized. I think setup and cleanup actually takes less time, even though I am more precise about how I put things back. Just remember, everything has a place - somethings you might find do fit better out of their intended place but most go right where they belong. The few that I found I moved a little where the 3:1 and 2:1 resource pieces from seafarers. I put some of these in with the number tokens.I've had this a few weeks now and have used it a number of times and really have no complaints. Things are snug, but that snugness also keeps things in place which is great if the box was to get tipped over.If you are looking for a way to organize your catan games, this is a great way to do it!

I originally was on the fence about getting this, but am very glad that I did. It allows me to put all of my Catan, Knights & Cities, and Seafarers games in one box neatly and orderly. Pros and Cons are listed below.Pros:- Fits nicely in the box and everything is organized- allows for faster game set-up for player tokens and resource cards, as they are already separated.- The card trays are wonderful in allowing a cleaner playing experience so that the cards dont constantly have to be restacked and lined up from just sitting lossly on the table.- Very sturdy constructionCons:- Assembly was a PAIN. Some of the pieces fit together nicely, while others required me to pound on them with a rubber mallet. The card trays were the most difficult as i had to actually file down the pegs slightly in order for them to fit into the slots.- Slight off putting smell from the pieces. I am not sure if it is the paint or just the wood that smells. Not a strong smell though, but thought it should be mentioned.

You have to assemble the organizer, which is a lot more difficult than it needed to be. The product description claims that sleeves are supported, this is just false. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone else.

I really love this box. Typically when I've gone to a Catan game night you need to carry so many boxes. Three big ones and a small expansion box or two. This holds original Catan, Seafarers, and Cities & Knights, plus each of their 5-6 player expansions so perfectly. It's like a perfect Tetris layout when it's all together. The only things that lay on top are the instructions and then the bigger perimeter sea border pieces.And for those people who think I'll get raw wood and then stain and seal it myself. Save your dang time. Gluing this organizer together was very easy and it looks great right away. I got the organizer bug and bought some for two other games in raw wood. The staining and sealing process has now taken me probably more hours than I've spent playing those games lol. Those games will look so sexy in their organizers, but no, from now on I'm only burying pre stained & sealed kits, like this.Highly recommended.
