Thank Joe in ohio** A: Hello, thread about 17.8 mm, you buy this igniter, we have a matching fastening ring without worrying about installation. **Q: would this work on a potato gun ?** A: yes,you can. **Q: is the "ground" the exposed strip on the back?** A: Hello, this does not need to be grounded separately, just install it on a metal object. If the installation location is non-metallic, please install the wire grounding at the fixed location of the installation, thank you. **Q: Will this work on a Aussie propane grill?** A: I used it on a gas hot water heater and a gas grill. I would guess it would on most grills. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Replacement for Annoying Battery Sparkers *by on Reviewed in the United States June 4, 2026* You know the drill. Get the grill all cleaned off, check the gas, have your food all ready to go . . then you turn the dial, hear the flow, hit the ignitor, and nothing happens. Not only is the battery dead, but because you didn't realize it got wet at some point, the old battery sparker is all rusted up and basically junk that a new battery won't even fix. Where did you leave that standby butane lighter you bought for camping?? Got a match?!?Guess what sunshine? That can't happen with these! Not only are they more resistant to water damage and cheaper, but obviously without a battery to maintain, they simply work - every time you use them. While I had to drill a hole in a different place to mount mine, everything else connected perfectly and works exactly as intended. The only caveat is that it must be mounted onto metal parts of the grill chassis in order to complete the circuit. These are an UPGRADE. Why the battery ones are sold on and installed on so many grills is baffling. Just get something that works! This is it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Did the job *by on Reviewed in the United States October 4, 2026* Good to have extras..they work well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works good *by on Reviewed in the United States July 4, 2026* Works fine an we still use it ## Frequently Bought Together - Meter Star Gas Heater One Outlet Piezo Igniter Spark Plug Push Button Ceramic Igniter Pack of 5 PCS - MENSI 11.8” Universal LP Propane Natural Push Button Piezo Igniter Kit for Gas Grill,Range,Heater,Stove Spaker Generator Ignition Set 2PCS/Lot - 5 PCS 2 Outlet Push Botton Piezo Igniter Spark Plug Push Button Igniter --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/93493461-meter-star-gas-heater-one-outlet-piezo-igniter-spark-plug](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/93493461-meter-star-gas-heater-one-outlet-piezo-igniter-spark-plug) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
