Just got this after my old one broke, it is so much easier to read and the eggs came out perfect.

Review Edit: So my previous review was less than complimentary. John from NobleEgg contacted my immediately and had already sent me two replacements. Usually when I leave an unsatisfied review (AeroGarden, Ninja, I'm looking at you), the company doesn't care, doesn't bother making contact, just let's it slide. But NobleEgg fixed the issue right away, I tested both replacements and they both worked, and I'm super impressed with the customer service as well. So, definitely recommend, A+, would definitely buy from again. Old review: So,I don't know what I'm missing, but it seems very much like it didn't do anything at all. The first picture is before boiling, on the counter, the second picture is pulling out of boiling water. Nothing changed. And it's really not worth the hassle to return.

This one turns white as your eggs cook, took me a minute to figure it out, no issues, very cute

I use it for hard boiled and it's great so far. When it turns all white I pull them out and 6 out of 6 times the eggs were a perfect hard boiled egg.

When my husband melted our last egg timer, I bought this one because it's so cute... the first (and last) time I used it, I began to smell a chemical solvent smell in the kitchen as the eggs boiled. I put my nose over the boiling water and was overwhelmed with a smell like turpentine / chemicals. No way am I going to let that near my eggs. I am returning this to Amazon and am going to try to find one at a local store instead. Too many of the ones for sale here are Chinese knockoffs of dubious origin. Sorry, can't recommend.

This timer is so easy to use, even my 90 year old father can read it to get his "perfect soft boiled egg"! (And, his sight is not great!!)
