TRIXIE Silicone Protective Sock, X-Large, 12cm/45cm, Grey

My friend's dog (a pointer) had to have a toe removed. We tried several different types of boots to keep it dry and clean at this wet and muddy time of year, both when it was bandaged and afterwards when he just had a cotton sock on it for a while. This was the only one that was long enough and had really good Velcro straps to keep it on. We needed the Extra Large initially to go on over the bandages, and the Large for when the bandages were removed and he just had a cotton sock to cover it. This is an excellent product which allowed him to go out for short toilet walks on smooth surfaces without any worry - I don't know what we would have done without it!

It was good but tight to fit over a cast which is why I was buying it, it was water resistant to keep his cast dry when out but I use to put a little plastic bag in first to help it glide on as it was tight (it was a bit cast on a large breed). I had to cut it to get it on so I only really used it to keep the bottom dry form walking in wet grass etc, I still had to use something else to keep the entire cast dry if out in rain etc.

Not impressed it lasted 2 hours and ripped! No good for my dog who needs to keep a dry paw!

Great idea but unfortunately ripped, shame as some injuries need to be kept dry. I wish they would upgrade the material used

Our long-legged Labrador has had on and off problems with his back paw for a while, a few months ago he had surgery and we struggled to keep the bandage dry all the time having tried multiple things such as plastic bags (he enjoyed ripping them off), booties etc. Knowing another surgery was coming up I ordered this with limited expectations and it has proven to be the best. He has attempted to remove but it doesn't rip despite his best efforts, and it doesn't slip off and he seems completely unphased by it. Much relief during what is already a challenging time for us and him.

This item was not as we expected received did not fit but was u able to return item. The item states silicon but felt like a poor rubber. Unable to return attempt to put on dogs leg. This was not possible and placed the dog in more pain so item discarded. Can not recommend this item to cover injuries on my dogs leg.

Very robust sock. Very good at protecting vet sock/paw. Our dog is large at 50kg but despite measuring, we could have gone one size down.

I read the reviews and was doubtful, but I needed something to keep our dogs paw dry after an operation when he went outside into the mud bath of a garden after all the rain. I was glad I went a size bigger and I used a poo bag first so the silicone sock slid on and off easily and didn’t pull the bandage. The Velcro straps did the job and it stayed on with no trouble as he hobbled around the garden. We cut it down slightly first. His bandages and paw stayed dry, not sure how long it would last but as long as it’s until the stitches are removed it works for me. Would definitely buy again if need.

A differenza di altri recensori, il mio cane è stato educato ad avere il giusto rispetto di me e delle cose, quindi non morde né ringhia quando gli metto la calza e non ostacola le cure mediche. Recensione: Il prodotto è davvero valido: si inserisce e si rimuove con estrema facilità, non gratta e non strappa i peli. La resistenza è più che adeguata. L’ho utilizzato per circa due settimane, sia per proteggere una ferita sotto la zampa da sporco e pioggia, sia per evitare che il cane si leccasse la zona la sera. Le fasce tengono bene e fanno il loro dovere. Testato anche sotto la pioggia, in un parco pieno di fango: alla fine delle due settimane si è bucato, ma è comprensibile considerando lo sforzo fisico del cane e l’uso intenso. Bisogna essere obiettivi: non è un prodotto indistruttibile, ma uno strumento molto utile per gestire le cure in modo più pratico. Basta usarlo con buon senso! All’interno della calza si crea un po’ di umidità se la si tiene per più di un’ora — nulla di preoccupante, ma è sempre meglio controllare. In conclusione, prodotto consigliato. Se ne avrò nuovamente bisogno, lo riacquisterò senza esitazioni.

Utilisé suite à une blessure à la patte avec un pansement pendant trois semaines super utile pour aller promener sans problème ni peur que le pansement prenne l’eau. Article super résistant (cailloux, bitume,etc)

Het is gewoon ongeschikt om te gebruiken ! De binnenkant stropt over het verband wat om de poot van onze hond zit .Het flabbert over de grond bij het lopen van de hond : kortom waardeloos en weggegooid geld !
