Last year, he used regular water based ink and kept having problems with it drying too fast to do a good job. This stuff was great! It doesn't dry right away which gave him plenty of time to be careful and even roll out multiple colors on his matrix before making the actual print. The only caution is that it stays 'powdery' after drying so it's a good idea to spray it with a fixative to avoid smudging. Review: I recommend - I haven't received this yet, but as long as the package comes, I've used this ink in printmaking class, and it works so well. It can be very messy, but as is most art. ## Features - CREATED BY PRINTMAKERS FOR PRINTMAKERS - Susan Rostow developed Akua Intaglio Inks to deliver brilliant colors, intense blacks and unmatched working properties - DRIES THROUGH ABSORPTION - Akua Intaglio Inks only dry through absorption - they will not dry on the printmaking plate - VERSATILITY - These inks are ideal for Intaglio/Etching, Monotype, Gel printing and Collagraph printmaking - THE AKUA SYSTEM - Akua Intaglio Inks may be used with Akua Liquid Pigment and Akua Intaglio Modifiers - EASY CLEAN-UP - Cleans up easily with soap and water ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00A6WK4OE | | Best Sellers Rank | #18,841 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #11 in Printmaking Inks | | Brand | Akua | | Brand Name | Akua | | Container Type | Jar | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 353 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00893419000361 | | Ink Color | Phthalo Green | | Item Type Name | Intaglio Ink | | Item Volume | 237 ml | | Item Weight | 9.92 ounces | | Manufacturer | Speedball Art Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | IIPG | | Model Number | IIPG | | Number of Items | 1 | | Package Information | Jar | | Paint Type | Water Based | | UPC | 893419000361 | | Unit Count | 8 Fluid Ounces | | Volume | 237 ml | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Akua - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00893419000361 - **Item Volume:** 237 Milliliters - **Package Information:** Jar - **Paint Type:** Water Based ## Images ![Intaglio Water-Based Ink, 8-Ounce Jar, Phthalo Green - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61cjeTZEizL.jpg) ![Intaglio Water-Based Ink, 8-Ounce Jar, Phthalo Green - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51UIwAwG7BL.jpg) ![Intaglio Water-Based Ink, 8-Ounce Jar, Phthalo Green - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61pb+8jhlsL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stuff! *by H***L on April 30, 2023* We got this for my son who likes to compete in a printmaking category for school.
