Distance from mounting bolts to rear of vise?** A: (1) All of my parts are 4.25" or less in the opening and (2) roughly 5" from the mounting holes to the rear lower lip on the back side of the vise. **Q: what is the height and width of the jaws and how wide do the jaws open on the 3 inch and 4 inch vise ?** A: I had the 4” version, meaning 4” wide jaws that open 4” or more. I sent mine back because the base was HUGE. No way to bolt it to the bed of my small mill. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kind of a stretch calling this a milling vise, but fits my needs. *by D***R on December 27, 2023* This is not a true milling vise but works fine on a drill press or workbench. For the money, it is a decent vise and is suitable for most jobs around the shop If you are getting into machining and looking for an actual milling vise, this is not what you need. I have no problem with the quality of the vise, just the description as a milling vise. All in all, it is a pretty decent vise and worth the money unless you are looking for the precision of an actual milling vise. I am happy with my purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ its built pretty good *by C***L on February 6, 2023* I ordered this vice(5") thinking it would be good enough for my needs . but I'm quite impressed with it really I've taken some measurements of it on the mill and its nice and square . the only reason i'm not giving it 5 stars is because like other have reported ,it does have a lot of sharp edges.. I spent maybe an hour on it taking the edges off so as not to cut my hands while handling the vice . but it does close nice and the sliding end of the vice is nice and tight and clamps up square ..the graduations on the swivel base are accurate and well embossed .. I would buy again .. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than expected *by M***. on February 10, 2024* To get the negatives out, the only ones are that on of the washers needed for it was missing (1 of 4) and some of the corners are quite sharpThat being said this is a solid purchase. There’s no slop in the jaw, solid cast iron handle for it and on contrary to what some reviews said, the T bolts that came with it fit perfectly for my mill based on what I needed for it. 10/10.
