Great monitor for a DSLR at a fantastic price.
We used the monitor to cross America for a documentary film project. The Breaking Bread Tour followed former Special Forces personal as they crossed the US on foot and bicycles. During this 2 month journey the monitor was used daily with no failures, great color and can not recommend it enough.

Awesome but not in direct sunlight.
This monitor works perfectly but if you need a monitor that is good for direct sunlight don't waste your time. Get the atomos Shinobi

Not Compatible With Sony a6300
I purchased this monitor to use with a Sony a6300. While the display is beautiful, when connected to the camera and turned on, recording cannot be started. When the monitor is switched off, recording can be started and stopped normally, either with the record button on the side of the camera, or with the Sony remote. Playback of recorded videos, also, does not work through the SWIT. When playback is initiated using the camera controls, the monitor cycles back to the SWIT title screen, then back to the video start display (with the arrow), and nothing happens. Again, when the monitor is switched off, the video plays normally through the camera's LCD screen. So far, then, the only thing the monitor is good for is pre-recording focus and framing. To record and playback, the monitor must be switched off. Not terribly useful. Update to the above review: The symptoms described above apply to the case where the video mode is selected on the mode dial. When the manual (M) mode is selected, however, recording can be started and stopped as normal, and playback also works. The ability to monitor audio through headphones, though, is not available. To set audio levels and listen through headphones, the mode must be switched back to video, then back to manual to record. The audio signal is visible via the meter display, it just can't be heard through the headphones.
