I purchased the XHF UL Listed 1 Inch (25mm) 3:1 Waterproof Heat Shrink Tubing to be used on a submersible pump wire. I used it with a 14 gauge 3 conductor royal type wire. I had already sealed each wire connection (3) with waterproof heat shrink tubing with adhesive, but since the wire will be going in the water, I wanted to insulate all the connections and the wire itself, so I bought the 1" size of the XHF 3:1 waterproof heat shrink tubing so as to slide over all three waterproof connections. It concerned me that the XHF heat shrink tubing would not shrink enough to adhere to the 14 ga. wire itself.....but it did! The XHF heat shrink tubing did a marvelous job of shrinking around the three already insulated connections and then it shrank enough to adhere to the cable insulation itself, oozing out the glue on the ends to confirm it adhered! I am impressed! The XHF heat shrink tubing is not the normal thin heat shrink tubing you use for smaller wires, but is adequately thick too! I was impressed with the thickness and durability of this heat shrink tubing, even once it shrank. It was easy to use, as I just cut off the length I needed to cover the exposed 3 wire connections and and extra couple of inches on each end, to cover the cable itself. I then used a standard heat gun/paint stripper to heat the shrink tubing. It did as advertised.....shrunk enough to provide waterproof insulation with an adhesive. It didn't come with instructions, but if you heat from the center of the tubing (keeping the heat gun moving continuously) outward to each end, you should get the same satisfactory results as I got. I am pleased with this purchase and feel confident that it will provide the results (waterproof and durable) that I was looking for! Yes, I would purchase again!

This is truly a good product. I used it to repair a severed and nicked up outdoor extension cord that was run over by a tractor lawnmower. I used the 3/4 inch diameter. The material is plenty thick for protection and the glue slightly oozes out when finished. I would definitely buy this again.

Good value and included case keep the tubing sizes together. The tubing range should cover a wide range of conductors/cables. Used the 3/32” size to cover but jointed 22GA wire and the 3/16” to cover the group of conductors. The con is that the 8 different sizes are divided into 4 sections which requires some hunting of the different tubing sizes. A 5 star rating could be earned if the case had 8 sections.

I bought this for the same Sporty Forty style coil I built for my ham radio antenna. After winding the coil with 14 gauge magnet wire, I wanted something to cover everything up and give it a clean finished look. This worked perfect. The 2 inch size fit over my coil and it shrunk down nice and tight. The adhesive inside also gives it a good solid feel once everything cools down. Honestly this was what took the project from looking homemade to looking like something I could’ve bought. Once I was finished, the coil looked just as good as something that came from the factory. The coil works great with my 17-foot whip and gets me on 40 meters, and this was the finishing touch that made the whole thing look professional. Very happy with it and I still have plenty left for the next thing I decide to build.

Shrunk down, adhesive at both ends. Used on 10 mm pipe so cannot say if 3 to 1, However same stuff 1 inch shrank to 10 mm with adhesive both ends, so this probably does too. Bought both just in case some review said shrink was less than 3 to 1. I used a proper heat gun for these results

Very robust shrink tubing.... very good quality. It has an epoxy type sealant on the interior of the tubing ... really holds well. Highly recommend.

Exactly as described. Shrinks up pretty quickly and evenly with a heat gun. 5/8 shrunk to pencil size with no problem

Works great for grip on picks

Used it to seal and waterproof a marine antenna that was previously cracked. Used epoxy and fibreglass to repair it. Then used the 1” shrink tubing to seal it. Worked great and the colour matched the colour of the antenna.

Should have ought this type a long time ago. It has adhesive on the inside and guarantees waterproofing it is all thicker material and shrinkage is very good goes down to a small size
