Can these be fitted in square down pipes

Depends on the size of the gutter but I would think not. The gutters on my greenhouse were too small to fit properly so used them elsewhere.

Will they fit into 50mm down pipe

If you have ordinary half round pipes and guttering they should if the guttering is ANY other shape they won’t , my guttering is ornamental shape and they do not sit in place at all well
