It didn't take long to build (½ hr, give/take). I got this for my son when he was 10.The 3 in 1 sets are great because my kids can decide which of the 3 things they want to build. Now these sets share the pieces for all 3 different builds, so that means that all 3 things can NOT be built at the same time. The creation/build has to be taken apart and then simply follow the directions to build something else using the same blocks. Not all 3 builds will use all of the blocks, so there will be spare pieces.Legos are always fun and it keeps my kids occupied for a little while and gives them something fun (& creative) to do other than mindless TV.Overall this is another great set from Lego.
