Liqui Moly Diesel Purge

I bought this because i was experiencing pickup issues and mileage issues in my verna fluidic 1.6 crdi diesel. I experienced the same problem 6 months prior to this, however i cleaned my egr and it was solved. Now since my egr has just been cleaned 6 months back i wasnt about to do it again and instead decided to opt for this after I had done some research which stated this could be a possible solution to buildup of carbon deposits in fuel lines and on injectors which causes a drop in power. I looked into this liqui moly diesel purge as well as the iftex product but went with this even though it was 5x the cost almost as this is a branded product and should offer better safety to the car. Anyway i got the product and used it on a somewhat empty tank(3-5L). I poured approximately 1/3 the can into the tank and drove about 10 mins and filled up 10L of diesel. I then proceeded to drive roughly 50kms and could already feel a difference in the smoothness and mileage. After driving another 80-100 km i filled up again and this time poured another 1/3 or so into the tank. I drove this time 100+kms going on the highway to let it run at steady and low rpms and also takw it to higher revs to clean out and burn away any residual buildup in the lines. By this time i could feel a difference in pickup and the cars eagerness to pull was beginning to return. After driving till the tank was pretty much empty over the next few days, i could feel the power and mileage was back to its original if not even better. Engine was smoother and quieter, power was better than ever before and mileage was amazing. I even managed 26.6kmpl on the highway and couldve possible gotten more if i had the patience. Overall I’m really happy with this product thus far. If theres anything to update in the coming months then I will.

Bought a 16yr old 120k mile mk7 Transit. Had a knocking sound on cold start and was really smokey when driving, lumpy idling and hesitant acceleration. I put a 500ml can of this in the fuel with 200 miles range. (About 15 litres of diesel) For a while the van seemed to smoke more but after 200 miles or so its really cleaned itself up. Im assuming it is the diesel purge doing its thing and removing all the crap that was in the engine. The knocking when cold has gone, power has improved and there is hardly any smoke coming out now. The engine now purrs on idle without fluctuating. All after only 200 miles of driving.....Amazing stuff... Ive ordered a further 1 litre can as Im adament this is making all the difference to my van. Really really impressed. Far better than redex, cataclean or any other additive ive tried in the past. Worth its weight in gold.
