will this spiralizer fit an older model Kitchen Aid mixer ksm150psq8?

I have my grandmother's old mixer, the very one my mom used to make cookies as a kid in the '50s. This attachment fits that mixer perfectly.

Why does the peeler part of the attachment no longer snap into place after one use?

It's a bad design. Ours doesn't stay in place anymore either.

Can this peel and core without slicing?

It can peel, it can slice but it cannot core. The core will be left after it slices and the core will be still intact after you peel but if keep the peeler running...they core will be left. Hope that helps. The core of your vegetable is what the spiralizer uses to hold it in place so it can do its slicing, peeling and spiralizing job.

Can I use this on butternut squash?

Yes, but with caveats. 1) you must take off the bulbous part at the bottom. 2) The center must be firm enough for the attachment to grip. I spiralized two butternut squashes today. The first was small with very little bulb, and had a very firm center. This attachment spiralized the squash perfectly. The second was slightly larger, with a larger bulb on the bottom. It turned out that this one had a center that was too soft, leaving the core gripper nothing to grip onto. It would not spiralize at all. I also would caution against trying to spiralize anything with too large a diameter. The food will just get stuck on the rod the cutting blade travels on and prevent the attachment from doing its job.

Buen aditamento para la Kitchen Aid

Es un gran aditamento para rebanar en diferentes tamaños las frutas y verduras. Tiene diferentes cuchillas para obtener cortes de diferente ancho y grosor. Una desventaja es que el ancla donde se coloca la fruta o vertura tiene una base de plástico, notamos que se doblo un poco si colocas piezas muy grandes como un camote, la sugerencia es cortar dichas verduras o legumbres en tamaños pequeños antes de pasarlos por la máquina para evitar dañarla.

Another excellent bolt on.

Very robust and accurate. Easy to use, change sizes of blades easily and easy to keep clean. A few words of advice though........the blades are very, very sharp. Do take care when drying them as I found to my cost the first time I did it!

Nice product

Product came from USA, because this version with more knives was not available in Europe. All very well handled by Amazon and the supplier; no problems at all. No headache with import duties etc; all handled by them; it was like buying from the neighbouring town. Super job. And we love the product. It is not cheap, but it is really nice. I can really recommend this supplier and the product!

Fastest Apple crumble prep

Absolutely love this. I bought it because I really hate peeling, coring, and slicing up apples to make apple crumble, but everyone loves apple crumble. I made 2 thick apple crumbles in a matter of minutes for the peel/core/slice prep. To do the same manually would prob take over an hour easily. It also slices thin enough I might pop the apple slices in the dehydrate for apple chips. The next thing I will be using for is peeling and slicing potatoes for scalped potatoes. Will prob experiment to see if I can get an onion on there and sliced too. The big part doesn't touch any food so I can pop it back in the very organized box it comes in. It has a magnetic lid so for once I am keeping the packaging. The other small parts I popped in my dishwasher and they came out good as new. 11/10 recommend
