It worked fine and all but there was this weird white line as if it had been bent at some point. I was worried about using it but it still seems to be working all right, I'm just worried about whether it will last for long.

At first I must admit I was a bit nervous to open up my Joy Cons but after following various guides on YouTube, I decided to take a the plunge and attempt to replace the cable and save myself from throwing even more money to Nintendo. It becomes very apparent the way Nintendo designed the Joy Cons are flawed with how they decided to package the ribbon cable to easily be bent inside. There's actually a way to prevent this sharp bending of the cable when closing the joy con shell due to the long length of the cable by actually tucking the cable underneath the plastic plate that houses the battery.

This worked as promised for repairing my son's controller. Installation requires care so no internal parts are broken.

My left joycon has not been connecting for a two player mode as the side buttons weren't working. My husband wanted to buy new joycons. Saved a lot of money as it was a quick and easy installation. Works as new now !

The buttons are much more stiff than the original board. As a result not only is the feel different but they don’t work in the Mario kart steering wheels. But at least the controller does function again for other games.

If your controller SL SR and SYNC buttons don't work you need this.
