Better than Hori!!
I was looking at this Hotas as well as the Hori Hotas. I was able to play around with the Hori in a nearby electronic store, and, like almost everyone else stated, there is a massive dead zone when turning your aircraft. The overall joystick is nice to hold, and does look nice, but what good is it if it isn't functional? Definitely cannot justify the cost. On the other hand, the T.Flight Hotas 4 by Thrustmaster is by far better than the Hori. It's simple to use, and I mean very simple to use. The layout of the buttons are perfectly placed within reach of your fingertips. Another key point to mention is the throttle handle. The throttle is kinda smooth. I'd prefer if it was more firm, but cant really complain. Also, in Ace Combat 7, the proper amount of thrust is given with the proper amount of throttle-meaning, its not just low, medium and high. It's actually variable, which is a huge plus in my opinion. The handling is excellent. You could even attach the throttle and stick together with the hex-screws on the bottom of the Hotas. If you are trying to get into any flight games, for the PS4 or PC, this is a must-buy! Plus, at fraction of the cost of the Hori, why not??

Seems better made than regular verson and no issues out of the box.
A must have for PS4. Great for Elite Dangerous, Ace Combat 7 skies, Eve Valkyrie and any other PS4 flight game. It is not built to last but excellent for the price. The AceCombat7 version seems to be better built than the regular version. No drift as far as I can tell. I bought one first from Best Buy. Had drifting issues immediately. I decided to take a chance on a special version and I was not disappointed. No drift or dead zone issue as far as I can tell. Will buy this version again as these controllers tend to go out after a year or so. Great buy for the Buck.

Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas 4. The only thing I can say good about this product is it looks good.
I first bought this Joystick to play Elite Dangerous and I had issues but Elite Dangerous does provide a way to adjust the dead zones which was causing my ship to roll one way or the other this did not fix the issue but made it manageable. I bought Ace Combat 7 which does not provide any adjustments at all. When flying, the plane would constantly roll left or right (Just depended on which way it decided to roll when you first entered the game.) making turning in the opposite direction almost impossible. I threw the product in the trash as it was causing me to much aggravation. Then a few days after that, Steam released a patch which stated they had addressed some Thrustmaster centering issues. I though Well Crap it must have been a a Steam issue after all. So I ordered another Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas 4 controller as it is the only joystick controller supported by Ace Combat 7 Skies Unlimited. It worked Great for about 2 hours then it started rolling again. I followed the procedures in the manual for centering. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers updated firmware. Heck the firmware update button in their driver software doesn't work so you have to go to their website support section to download the firmware. i searched the web again for answers there are none I could find. I was unable to resolve or effect the issue. If you go to Thrustmasters website you will soon discover that their Support page is no help. Also they do not have a phone number you can call for support which should tell you all you need to know about their support. On Amazon if you follow their support links it list a customer support number for Thrustmaster but when you call it they do not answer. You get a recording telling you their hours and then it hangs up. Although I called well within their business hours. I have returned the second product to Amazon for a refund. I will just have to continue to play Ace Combat with my Xbox controller. Because of Thrustmasters lack of support options I will not be buying their products in the future.

Decent flight stick, could be better.
Love that the people behind Ace Combat 7 & Thrustmaster finally teamed up & developed a flight stick for the PS4. This is literally the only flight stick/throttle combo out there that is both PS4 & PC compatible at least that I know of. The other PS4 games its compatible with seem very limited. I can confirm that it does not work for GTA5 or No Mans Sky which I was pretty disappointed about because those games involve quite a bit of flying that I think could be made better or more enjoyable with a stick/throttle combo like this. Seems to work alright with Ace Combat 7 because that was the game it was specifically developed for. It works well with a few flight sims including MSX & Orbiter space flight sim that I have on my PC running Windows 10 after installing the driver from the Thrustmaster website. The only letdown with using this on PC is the rudder controls on the throttle lever don't work & instead you gotta twist the stick left or right to operate the rudders on any flight sim game it works with which feels odd & really takes getting used to. Its OK I guess if you'd rather not spend another $50 to $100 on a rudder pedal controller. The button configuration is a bit weird for Ace Combat 7 & takes some getting used to. The X, circle, square & triangle buttons are all located on the throttle handle & they don't even do the same things they do as the standard controller does except maybe in the menu selection. For example; circle button was the fire missile button but that got replaced with the L1 button now located on the main stick. Also, another annoyance with this controller is the only way to look around is you hold the R2 button located on the throttle lever & move the stick around. I think this could have been replaced with the hat switch(circular thingy next to the L1 button) on the main stick. I think they should have used that as the look around function. It is in Microsoft Flight Sim. Don't know why they felt they had to take extra steps just to add a look around function this way. As for button config I would have preferred the X circle, square & triangle buttons to be on the stick itself & all the L buttons on the throttle with the trigger on the stick as the button that operates the machine gun & a little D pad located somewhere easily accessible would have been nice. Aside from these quarks, its a decent Thrustmaster stick/throttle combo for the money.

Perfect for the price.
Worth the money, If your looking for a more inexpensive flight stick I recommend this one. It's a great starter stick and far cheaper then a normal one. Its sturdy and seems pretty durable. Has a great button layout. Also comes with a joystick tighten feature which is great. The wire connecting the stick to the throttle could have been laid better so you can place the two together easier but it's not hard. The wire connecting your flight stick to your Console or PC is nice and long so you can play further back. I use VR so its helpful because I have to sit back a tad bit so the VR camera can pick me up. If your looking for a first time Flight stick for cheap this is the one. If your looking for one that's realistic and better layout your going to want to spend more money but this is perfect for a budget.

Mostly good
I'm a pilot but a simulator novice. I purchased this controller for use with X-Plane. When flying -- for real -- a Cessna 172, the aircraft is dynamically stable and (assuming no wind) will fly straight and level until it runs out of gas. So I was expecting a similar experience. But no matter what kind of subtle adjustments I made, either for the controller on in the program, I could never get the combination to fly straight and level without any input. So, that is very frustrating to me. Except for that I've been very happy with the controller (but the throttle is way, way, way too large, IMO).

Will eventually wear down and cause craft to roll
Unfortunately it worked only for a month and a half or so until it started having whatever im flying roll to the right. Wish I knew about this problem. Its unfortunate because if this wasn't an issue people would love this product. I have not played with a Playstation controller since I got it.

Awesome add-on
This is one of the best controllers I've picked up in a long time. Its works well with the PS4 and its so much better flying with this than with the standard PS4 controller. Every button has a function and works perfectly and youd be surprised how quickly you adjust to using the flight control. I'll never fly with a standard controller again.
