I currently have mine full of Hot Pots from Coastal Scents. I have 18 different eye shadow shades in this little box. It is so slim, but useful. You can see if the picture of the product that there is a white mat that is on the bottom. This is what is magnetic. It works well, even when I throw it into a travel bag the pans don't move around much. Combining powdered make up and a white bottom means that make up dust is visible pretty easily. This isn't something that bothers me, but it may bother others. For anyone ordering this in order to de-pot make up I would suggest that you make sure that your make up pans are actually magnetic before going to a lot of work and extra expense to do that. I tried to de-pot a larger Coastal Scents eye shadow palette only to find out that those pan were not magnetic. I had the same experience with ELF Bronzer and shadows as well as my Cover Girl blush.
