Review: Really good - For the price this is really nice. Its well made and does not heat up the unit itself except the barrel shroud unless you are in a tight corner then it can start to get a little warm from the blowback. The negatives are that the temperature control feels a little sloppy but it stays in place once you set it, and when changing power settings the fan stops for a second during the switch transition which always worries me since the manual makes it clear that the most common point of failure is the heating elements overheating. I would recommend following the manuals advice which is basically don't block the air flow and place it upright when not in use so the heat can dissipate easily. I haven't needed to run it on full heat and at max I go to 7 or 8 and its been great for continuous use.
Review: Excellent - Excellent heat gun and especially for the price! I use this in epoxy crafts and also for my artwork on canvas and it works great. Really useful that there are so many heat settings so you can choose the right one for whatever you're doing. Also recently used this for stripping gloss from woodwork and it worked a treat.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely purchase, edit: it broke
*by '***5 on 21 February 2019*

Had this a week now and have had a lot of use out of it stripping old paint off skirting board and architrave. It's been brilliant so far. It's nice and light to use, comfortable in the hand and it stands up nicely with the nozzle pointing up when pausing between use. It's only been used on full power so far but the adjustability seems to work well when I've played with it. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, and promptly delivered by Prime too. Edit: After 6 months it stopped working, so I had to obtain a replacement under warranty. This wasn't as easy as I hoped; I ended up having to speak to someone at Amazon, but I was sent a new one after posting the broken one back. Hopefully this one fares better. Minus one star therefore for reliability.
