I bought this specifically to use to lock my car key fobs and firearms away while I am temporarily taking certain medications (such as Ambien) for which sleepwalking or hallucinations can be a side affect. I bought the medium version with the white base, so I can't even see what is inside, and then I put it in a closet so I can't even see it. My two small revolvers fit inside perfectly. When I was married, I didn't have these concerns as I had someone to help manage these situations, but now that I live alone, I feel that a product like this can really help when taking certain medications. I just set the time for eight or more hours and then reset as needed, but I could easily set for 12 hours or more since I have no intent of driving for at least 10 days until I am done with these meds. The maximum set time is 10 days, but you can always add more time once time has elapsed. Keep in mind there is NO override to open it, so if you are dead set on getting into it, you will have to bust it open with a hammer or something. I saw one review where someone bolted the box down to a surface so that they couldn't just carry the box with the car key fobs and drive off, but one could just as easily remove the fob batteries before locking the fobs in the box. I do intend to loan this to any of my friends who are in the same predicament regarding their medications. And, those with kids with phone addictions, this would be a great thing. The price tag of $60 is a small price to pay for not having to worry about driving (or worse) while on certain medications.

Simple and easy to use. I like the opaque base, so it is out of sight (even if it is not out of mind…). This is not an industrial safe of course. One solid hit with a regular claw hammer will shatter the base without damaging the lid (don’t ask me how I know this). If you are determined to get your item out, you can, but it is built in willpower for “cookies” or whatever you want to use less of. I am pleased with my purchase and recommend this wholeheartedly. And, replacement bases can be purchased on their site for a very reasonable price so if the temptation is too great, you don’t have to buy a whole new unit.

I use it for my phone and debit cards after work. Keeps me from being able to purchase alcohol. I only have to make the decision not you, once.

I love how they market it for those needing to fight the temptation to eat "cookies." I would say that's a euphemism for whatever it is you need to exercise moderation with. For me, and most others from a quick survey of the reviews, that means medications. This has been a very helpful product for me.

I bought my timer in 2022, and was so happy with it I bought another larger one for holiday candy. I bought mine before they added the ability to charge your phone. Bonus!! I drilled a small hole in mine with a Dremel tool so I could run a charging cable in there.I’m writing because of a problem I’m having with one of the locks. When the timer is finished, the locking pins (or whatever they’re called) don’t completely retract. Last night my phone was in the box, and I thought I was using the “good” lock. Unfortunately my phone was stuck in the box. I took off the battery lid and was able to get a metal nail file between the acrylic box and the locking lid. I was able to press enough to retract the locking pins the rest of the way. It’s a bummer that it’s hard to open, because it’s such a great idea.

Im surprised this works. I like having a small snack everyday for work, but I cant resist just eating all of them. This simple barrier to my snacks is all I need to follow my own rules.We have a set amount of "effort" in a day we can apply to our lives. Resisting snacks takes effort. This removes that effort, and is a reminder on why you set your rules on it in the first place.

I have ADHD and work from home. The XL size fits my metaquest 3 headset, both controllers, and switch lite with room to spare. On a standard work day where i don’t have any pressing chores or personal errands I play the quest or switch for 1-2 hours before bed (8-10pm) and set the timer or 22 hours once I finish at 10.If I get assigned a big project or have a lot of personal responsibilities to attend to I can set the box to lock for 4 or 5 days!In addition to the obvious physical barrier of having the stuff locked away (and out of sight too, if you choose the opaque container, which I did) something about knowing I can’t get the stuff is super helpful mentally. Not having to devote mental energy towards resisting playing beat saber or animal crossing or whatever gives me more brain space for whatever it is I am supposed to be doing and makes playing the games much more enjoyable too when I get to them.Nice minimalistic unobtrusive look and the method of setting the time is fun. I enjoy the dial.Considering a second one to use to store soda.
