Review: Don't lose the instructions!!! - When I got my drafting board, I noticed that the parallel bar was not completely parallel and would change its angle as I moved it. I was worried I'd purchased a faulty product, but I decided to check the instructions, and they provided clear easy steps to fine tuning the parallel bar and now the thing works perfectly! The material is clearly high quality, and has a very sleek design. I will say that it's very heavy though, and might be difficult to move around. I need to figure out where I'm going to keep this in my home. I ordered the 24x36 for anyone who's wondering. It takes up my entire dining room table.
Review: Awesome. - So, this isn't the most amazing piece of equipment on the market. I'd rather have a nice sturdy, glides super smooth, big drafting table with tons of surface area, but as an architectural design student, I lack the space and $$$. So,this is what I went with and I have to say it's pretty awesome. It fits perfectly on my round kitchen table and provides a nice solid surface to draw on. The parallel rule can be a little finicky from the box but a few minor adjustments and it works like a charm. Be patient. The angle isn't as steep as I would prefer but it's a minor "con". It actually forces me to stand up during my project which is better for my circulation anyways. The handle is great. I have to put it up each and every night since I have kids and they ruin everything. A nice sturdy handle to transport it from room to room is wonderful. I had a small issue with the wire coming off one of the roller tracks, but I tightened the screws attached to the rollers and haven't had an issue since. So, like I said before, a few minor adjustments out of the box and all is well. Overall, I'm very pleased. Before I got this I was using a drawing board I used in art school. It was very time consuming trying to get straight lines and not to mention my back hurt from hunching over the board. I bit the bullet and bought this and even with the small incline, it makes a world of difference when spending hours and hours on a drawing. The parallel bar saves a ton of time and frustration. No, it's not the greatest thing ever and I look forward to getting a real drafting table when I grow up, but this has definitely been worth the purchase.

**Q: Would this work for painting with acrylics or oil paint?**
A: The straightedge slides up & down the table top w/ enough room under the straightedge for paper. The one edge of the table has little rubber feet & the other end has short metal legs used to lift the table up so you are able to slide the straightedge up & down. You could take the straightedge off & use the table to support a canvas or whatever you're using to paint. It's basically a portable table top that has a handle to carry it around.

**Q: can you add a Vyco pad to this table top?**
A: Yes. There is some 'vertical play' between the straightedge & board.

**Q: does it come with the straight edge and already assembled.**
A: Yes it does but it does NOT keep a straight edge, it moves very "tight" & I end up with crooked lines or ripped paper. Kind of defeats the purpose...

**Q: what is the angle this board sits at**
A: I measured it with an app- it said 13 degrees.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bar isn't quite as fine-tuned as I'd like

Am very pleased with overall quality and size, and I really like the ability to pull the board closer to you and angle it off the desktop. I understand there should be some space between the slide bar and the board; however, the space is a bit too large. My triangles keep sliding under the bar; therefore, my lines aren't correct. I have tried using the instructions to fine tune the bar, but haven't gotten it quite right yet. If it doesn't get better, this may be a 3-star review, as the purpose of the board is to get precise lines.
