ZAGG Slim Book Ultrathin Case, Hinged with Detachable Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad Mini 2 / iPad mini 3 - White

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! As soon as I saw the packaging, I knew it was top-notch. I spent way too long researching keyboards. This one is the ONLY one that duplicates a computer keyboard. In my research, I literally counted the rows of ALL THE OTHER BRANDS and this ZAGG brand has the same 6 rows as a normal computer keyboard. This might not seem significant, but IT IS! With other keyboards, you have to relearn many of the keys due to the new placement. I own a macbook pro, and the Zagg Keyboard is the same material, tone, and quality as a Macbook keyboard. I've seen and tried several other brands and believe me, they seem cheap. But as soon as I saw the box, and opened it up, it was clear that this was in a different league. I love everything about it and have NO complaints. The flexibility of this keyboard case is amazing as well. You can reverse the iPad and use it as a normal iPad. The case and hinge system is extremely nice and well made. I honestly have no idea re some of the bad reviews. I am thinking that Zagg may have improved the workmanship of this. One more plus - is the shortcuts on the keyboard. There is a home button, a search shortcut, Volume buttons, play / pause buttons, blue tooth button, siri button, etc. This is unlike any other keyboard!!!

I bought a ZaggKeys Cover for my iPad Mini 2 and it is excellent in every way. But I wanted a second keyboard with a case that provided more protection when traveling. After reading all the reviews I went with the SlimBook for iPad Mini 2/3. Apparently the problems some have had with the iPad cover being thin and prone to cracking has been resolved with the 2/3 version. I have gone through 3 SlimBooks so far and all 3 had problems with the keyboard but all 3 of the iPad covers were excellent, good fit on iPad 2 and seems rigid enough to last. The keyboard problems were different for each unit. On one the plastic keyboard bottom cover was not properly glued on. On the second unit the Caps key indicator light didn't work and on the third unit the hinge was creaky and the cover did not close firmly, leaving a gap between the keyboard and the case when closed. I am beginning to wonder if Amazon is not selling seconds or reselling returned units. If these are indeed factory new units the quality control at Zagg has a problem.Update: I bought this keyboard 5 months ago. It worked great for about 3 months, then began to get stiff, very difficult to open. Eventually the hinge began to crack and finally broke completely off.I called Zagg customer service and they sent me a new one, but it cost $12 to send the old one back. So I have paid $12 more for something I really don't want. I bought the backlit Folio which seems to work much better. Hope the hinge holds up.

If you have a iPad mini 2 o r iPad mini 3 this case is certainly worth considering, though I bought mine and a key fell off after 2 months and Zagg warranty service is lacking. I have used this unit daily for those 2 months and it worked flawlessly. Being able to convert from a laptop function, or a tablet and also being able to leave the keyboard in a bag, was invaluable and extended the function of my iPad.Zagg has offered to warranty replace, but their warranty replacement does not have backlight or remove the ipad for tablet use, or even swivel all the way around. So even though you can find this item online everywhere, Zagg won't replace for a like model. Instead, when your key falls off you'll be getting a unit which turns your ipad mini into a laptop, but you lose the tablet function, the backlight and the ability to leave the keyboard behind. This is disappointing and not a proper warranty replacement. All of that said, this device was amazing to use, I wish the service experience had been different. I'm going to attempt a second a reach out to Zagg and the seller to see if I can get any different outcome.

I am writing this review using my iPad and Zagg Slim Book. I bought this to use with my iPad in paramedic school. I can't imagine NOT having this product. I have been using this product since the end of April and the keyboard is still holding it's original charge. The battery lasts forever. This products durability has been put to the test in the back of my ambulance, in my fly car, and in my jump bag. It has survived getting tossed around the back of an ambulance going lights and sirens, oxygen tanks, simulation lab, my tactical pants thigh pocket, and beyond. I am very impressed with the durability of the entire product, as well as the hinge. The magnetic detachment aspect is phenomenal. I get a lot of compliments on it. Most people think it's a mini-laptop and when I show them the keyboard is Bluetooth and detachable, they are impressed. I read in the reviews about the keyboard not being heavy enough to balance the iPad being tilted back to the hinges max and I've had no trouble as long as its a flat surface. The compact and durable nature of this product make it an A+ purchase and I would absolutely purchase this product again. I also purchased Zagg's tempered glass screen protector and it, too, has withstood quite a beating with absolutely no issues. I highly recommend this product.

El teclado ‘ZAGG Slimbook’ me permite teclear emails y documentos con las dos manos con facilidad, y cuando es necesario, la luz del teclado alumbra perfectamente.La bisagra permite varios ángulos inclusive ‘modo video’. Además de atractivo, y elegante, el estuche es resistente por lo tanto protege el iPad. Para su fácil transporte cabe en mi bolsa de mano.Estoy muy contenta con este producto, es todo lo que anuncian y más.Es de las mejores compras que he hecho!

Love it! Great quality! Nice Keyboard.Using it with and iPad Mini 2, some of the special keys don't work... eg. the world button doe's not switch between languages like it should... instead the caps lock switches between languages! (meaning there is no caps lock button on keyboard now!)... It seems that the majority of the special buttons do not work as they should.... which is why I did not give it 5 stars...That said, I love the build quality, and the feel, would have preferred to have all the special keys working..., but love it anyway!

Ok, the product is very good but the ZAGG warranty for Canadians sucks!! You have to pay 10$ shipping to get a new one sent to you and you have to pay 25$ shipping to send the defective keyboard back to the states.... they sticker for free shipping are only for américains.. so if you are CAnadians, you are screwed!! I emailed 3 times, nor return I call and they hung up on me when I ask to talk to a manager today.... OMG.. service sucks!!! Good product usually but NO GOOD SERVICE for warranty! All that after I was sent an empty box the first time when I called for my warranty.... Is this company in trouble?

Muy buen producto. Yo necesito escribir muchos documentos para mi trabajo y la verdad me resultó mucho más fácil y cómodo hacerlo con un teclado. Es como tener una laptop mini. En cuanto a eso estoy bastante satisfecha. El producto, incluido el case se ve de buena calidad. Y además me llegó mucho antes de la fecha en la que se supone que me iba a llegar.Lo único malo es que como es un producto americano, obviamente el teclado utiliza el alfabeto en inglés, por lo tanto no trae ciertas teclas como acentos, signos, etc. Lo bueno es que en la pantalla el auto corrector en español permite corregir o bloquear el teclado para usar el del iPad. Lo que de plano no pude hacer es el signo de interrogación hacia abajo, que sí viene en el teclado más nunca encontré el comando que se tenía que usar para que pueda teclearlo.Lo otro que me dio miedo fue que en todos lados hacen demasiado énfasis en la advertencia de que el uso del teclado podría causar daños físicos, y mencionan los síntomas. Incluso la advertencia viene también a un lado de las teclas, por lo que no puedo evitar leerla y sugestionarme y sentir que ya me está dando algo o que estoy desarrollando algo y debo ir con un médico. Pero bueno, por eso lo uso con moderación, solo cuando en realidad lo siento necesario.

Decepcionado del producto que por el precio y marca parecía de excelente calidad. El producto llegó en los tiempos estimados pero doblado (¡Aún dentro de su caja perfectamente cerrada!); no funcionaron las teclas "S" y "X" y algunas de función. Tuve que devolverlo el mismo día. Amazon me reembolsó, pero al ser un producto que pedí de Amazon Estados Unidos, no se cubrieron los gastos de importación.
