I am very happy with the rice cooker.First of all, the seller was very attentive and kept askingabout the rice cooker which had not arrived by then.It came on the estimated date.It is elegant and beautiful .It is a well made product.It was “too easy” to use, I could not believe it.The preset was very helpful.It cooks perfect rice and keep warm well for hours.The scooping serving spoon helps create a decorative round ball on the plate..I haven’t try other features such as steaming but will do soon.Very important feature - It doesn’t give out steam which was my problem cooking rice in the microwave oven.So it solved my problem.It is large for a family of two like ours.

Great Gadget that I use every day, not just for rice but for porridge as well.Two things I think need improvement and why I didn’t give it all stars:It would be useful to have a timer on it that counts down so you know when something is ready.The back of the rice cooker has a little plastic catcher that collects the water that runs off the lid when you open it. Not a great solution because you have to remember to empty it after each use. If you forget it overflows and if you forget the water and starch will fester for a few days. Maybe an easy thing to remember but if ts out of sight it’s out of mind and I have to constantly remind the family to do it..Not sure about the looks either. People always comment it looks like a motorbike helmet that someone forgot on the counter top! Ok if you like motorbike helmets in the kitchen..

Overall outstanding customer support. Product feels and looks like good quality.I started shopping for a replacement rice cooker when my standard rice cooker's aluminium pot non-stick coating begin to peel. My primary consideration is for the health of my family and for great tasting Thai Jasmine rice.I've looked at rice cookers from standard single button easy cook 10 cup types to top-of-the-line IH (induction heating) rice cookers with all the bells and whistles. I decided that I just need a reasonably priced rice cooker that cooks good Jasmine rice that will provide me confidence for it's safe use and longevity. This Reishunger digital rice cooker seem to fit my needs.The good bits :I love the colour combination of the purplish brown background and blue display. The top of the cooker is made up of a nice brushed white plastic that makes the product feel premium in combination with the rest of the glossy white body with some chrome accents.The plastics feel and sound solid to the touch. Didn't find any parts that are misaligned. Testament to its German heritage, perhaps? Outstanding.The deciding factor for my purchase of this rice cooker is the stainless steel inner pot with ceramic coating and the ease of future purchase of a replacement via the company main website. The inner pot itself feels heavier than a normal aluminium pot of similar size. There must be stainless steel in it. But the rim of the pot does expose what looked like aluminum too. Perhaps the company would like to further clarify to other potential customers the layer composition of the inner pot? However, it does look well made with a smooth inner surface (ceramic) where the rice doesn't stick at all. I am so not looking forward to peeling non-stick coating anytime soon! Well done.The control of the product is with touch buttons. I prefer these as they don't wear out compared to the tactile button type of control inputs. Good!The bits for improvement :I had an initial scare when I followed the instructions before first use. The pot had a very ugly stain which did wash off without any signs left behind but I do wonder if the effects are harmful for my family. Reishunger support couldn't explain the phenomenon but was gracious to offer me a replacement pot.When the rice cooker is cooking at the preset functions for Standard, White Rice and Turbo, there isn't a timer countdown but a useless progress bar of 10 lights that does not tell me when it will finish at all. It does give an audible beep when finished and proceed to warm the rice with a timer. It would be nice for a more informative timer countdown so that I do not have to snack while waiting for my rice to be cooked!A rice cooker has to cook rice to a reasonable degree of perfection. Of course, I couldn't expect this rice cooker to be totally perfect compared to an expensive IH cooker but this rice cooker had many programs to try and cook the rice to suit my taste and I tried it all.My family consume Thai Jasmine rice daily and we know how to prepare the rice and the expected outcome when cooked. All the programs from Standard, White Rice and Turbo were tried and various quantities of rice were cooked. The rice were always wet and mushy and clumped together after the cooking process.I have tried reducing the water and even fluff the rice just after cooking to remove the excess moisture. But the rice remains mushy. I don't think this is normal. Also, I don't think I should press more than two buttons to start cooking the rice too.As this is a digital rice cooker, the cooking process can be further refined to cook the rice properly and to improve the display to give useful information. The Rice button is useless but only for changing the rice selection in the Rice program. It would also help if there is a way to upgrade the firmware of the rice cooker by your customer to further improve the operation.An aluminium inner cover does defeat the purpose of a premium pot.My 4 star rating is for the support given by the company and for the fact that the rice is still edible after cooking. I hope Reishunger replies to this review so that we can all learn and improve.Overall, the product is a great attempt at a potentially good product. But unfortunately, I will have to return the product and continue my quest for a reasonably priced rice cooker that can simply cook rice properly and safely.

We use alot of Thai rice in our house. Was worried that after spending the money that the old one click machine would have been better. Followed the same measurements and the rice was notably better. Much fluffier yet still holding form aswell as no burnt crust at the bottom. Maintenance a bit higher but to be honest that's to be expected. Don't regret the purchase although I got it during prime sale. If I had to replace it would probably just wait for it to go down again.

I love this rice cooker .it’s really good. Made in Germany.i recommend it to everyone but you must wash the rice and leave it in the water at least one hour before you start cooking.

Very easy to use, I've used it several times since purchasing about 6 weeks ago. Makes lovely fluffy white rice. Also tried making pilau rice, which is actually really easy to do. Just melt some butter in a pot and add chopped onion, 2 or 3 cardamom pods, 2 x cloves, 2 x bay leaves, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric for about 5-10 minutes. Then add the basmati rice and stir to coat the rice. Then empty the whole lot into the rice cooker and add the required amount of water and set it going for about 40 minutes. At the end I had lovely aromatic fluffy pilau rice so will definitely be making that again ! Cooker is really easy to clean, the internal pot is non stick. Recommended.

I brought this last November. Due to travel, didn't open it until now. I have many of rice cookers, cheap and expensive. So surprised this is the worst rice cookers purchase, I have ever made. Although, it looks very simple and straightforward. First time the rice was undercooked, then I thought maybe the first time. Machine needs to warm up. Second, third and fourth time results are the same undercook. Then I thought, let's try soup. That's even worst 3 hours later the veggies were raw. I didn't give up try other functions. All of them end up the same undercook, let's say it just keep thing warm. Maybe just my cooker. Money wasted as I missed out the return time period. Complete waste of money. Very disappointed.

I bought this as it was cheaper and seemed to be virtually identical to the other brand advertised here.I have been hesitating over a rice cooker for a while as it seemed an extravagant purchase, but it makes great rice very easily and I don’t regret it.
