THE STEERING CLUNK IS GONE!!
If I could give this product 10 stars I would. I drive a 04 Chevy Avalanche Z66 and for the longest time when I'm going around 30mph or less id hear this clunking noise. Highway speeds no noise at all and I thought maybe it was the shocks so I almost spent 300$ on all new suspension until I saw a video of a guy talking about this part and it's symptoms when it's gone bad. Figured I'd pay 30$ and worst case scenario I'm out 30$ and have a fresh steering shaft. LUCKILY this was the root of my issue took about 30 minutes to put in, simply 2 bolts and slip off. I HIGHLY recommend getting a steering wheel bearing as well considering that can also contribute to the clunking and you might as well replace it while the shaft is off. My truck drives like it's brand new off the lot and I couldn't be happier.

Fixed my clunk
2002 chevy suburban, had a clunk in the steering wheel. Original shaft felt very tight. Per you tube link, I bought this shaft, 2 bolts, about 10 min, clunk gone!! Well worth the price!

Dangerously out of spec
Should have known the price was too good to be true. I was able to install this but it fits too loosely into the upper shaft. It also looks and feels about half as sturdy as the factory part. Installing this part caused additional steering slop, making the vehicle difficult to control at highway speed which created a very unsafe condition. It should not be legal to sell. Of course amazon wants it back before issuing a refund. Next time I’ll buy from somewhere reputable like rock auto and save the trouble of installing the same part twice.

quite stout and snug fit
I read some other reviews that said this was not a tight fit and caused additional slop in their steering. I couldn't disagree more. On my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, it fit quite well and seemed to be more stout than the one it replaced. I bought this one used, so I can't say for certain that it replaced a factory one (226k miles), but time will tell how well this holds up. It mated up to the lower steering shaft portion just fine and also against the steering column. Recommend to also replace the steering shaft bearing while you're replacing this to resolve additional "clunk" noise in the steering.

Nice tight replacement for high mileage truck
Replaced Factory original with this. Original was clunking on light bumps. Had tried the grease fix long ago. This part was cheap enough to just go ahead and replace it finally. Plenty of YouTube vids out there to show the installation tips and tricks. Thumbs up from me.

Cost effective
It’s half the price of the same part you would get at the automotive parts store. But do not forget to replace the steering shaft bearing as well. Both parts must be replaced to solve the clunking steering. You can’t solve it with the shaft alone.

No more weird "suspension shaking" sounds at low speed
Solved my steering clunk. I thought it sounded more like suspension rattle, but this makes the whole vehicle feel better. Old one felt tight but had the most minor and tiny click when moving by hand. This one is solid and solved the annoying sounds!

Don't get. Definitely not recommended unless you like spending money on garbage..
Yes I liked the price and noise free for about 6 months. Then I felt a slight play in the wheel and made me question my driving. Let some else drive the truck and there reply was how do you drive this thing! We started to check out the shaft and it has about an 1/8" play in the shaft. Unacceptable and unsafe! Amazon should be embarrassed for selling such an unsafe part. Trying the dorman part next.
