ColdPruf Men's Authentic Dual Layer Wool Plus Blend Base Layer Thermal Underwear Pant

Very warm, definitely not warm enough to wear only as 1 layer under clothes,* but does the work of 2 normal leggings and that's what I hoped! They are *very* generously sized I would say, though I would not have gone with a smaller size. it's more that the fabric of the seat/hip area is very slightly gathered into the waistband, which makes it a very generous fit. I have a H U G E derriere and wide hips and they definitely fit with room to spare! I even washed these on hot and dried them on high when I first got them and even with shrinkage they are still a generous fit. Also good for long torsos, I would say (as I have one). The legs are also a generous fit, I have no binding even with my pedestrian's calves, and completely freedom of movement. The cotton lining is very soft and comfortable, and that is coming from someone with sensitive (and hairy) skin. They are NOT as blue as the picture. They are a typical heathery grey blue. I wish they came in black, but the blue is... okay, I guess.For reference, I tested these by wearing them out to sit on the ground and have a cigarette,† in 42 degrees F, with a 15mph wind, in Minnesota. All I wore over them was a pair of spandex jogger pants, and all I wore with them was knee socks in a thick cotton, along with my usual upper layers of shirt-sweater-sweater-leather jacket. I was cold after about ten minutes or so, so I would say these are warm enough for wearing normal-weight mens jeans if you are a person with a working bodily temperature system. As for me I will have to wear more layers with them.Just now I ran out to dump the trash in these and my sweats. I did not freeze, and my arthritic knees didn't hurt.Last night I wore these in an unheated bedroom as pyjamas, under a quilt and a standard duvet from Target or w/e. I was toasty and not sticky or gross from sweating.One note: these are wool on the outside, as advertised, so that along with their loose fitI'll update this as I go along. I'm going to keep testing them.‡Overall I love these way more than my Minus33 ones and would recommend them over that brand. I will be buying these again, despite the fact that they don't come in black, and I will be trying other baselayer garments in this brand (in black). I think I might try going down a size, though. I highly recommend the Cold Pruf Authentic Plus. I’m a snowmobile enthusiast and, spend a lot of time outside in Maine. I buy this product every year.

These are great. I'm 5'6'' and got a medium, and they fit very comfortably. They are not tight, a bit loose, and they do have a lot of space in the groin area. They could almost be worn around the house like sweatpants, but will also fit underneath my regular pants, though not if they were tight pants.

After reading many reviews and even trying a different brand, and returning it. I bought these. The time & effort into research paid off. This is a great product! It fits well and is warm. I wore these under jeans while out in 0 degree weather with a -12 wind chill. My legs didn't feel the cold. They were warm & comfy. Not itching or anything. I wholly recommend these to anyone looking for a warm pair of long johns.

I appreciate the combination of wool and cotton, dual individual material layers. This is unlikely suitable for tight fitting trousers but is a welcome addition to some of my loose jeans and Fjällräven pants.

This was very disappointing in that the image online does not adequately represent the product at all. The image shows a bright blue product and when I opened it, I was surprised by a dark, heather grayish item. These are not a tight fit product suitable for cross-training. This is simply a cold weather long underwear. The image used to sell the item is totally misleading.

Just like the matching top I bought, the thermal pants are great. They are soft, warm, comfortable and fit well. Plus you can buy the entire set for less than the price of 1 UA top or bottom and be just as warm. You just won't have that cool UA logo on your shirt.

My husband loves these new long John’s. They keep him so much warmer in cold weather!
