nice cheap head unit
I love cheap stereos!!PRO's:This one starts up quickly everytime (my last cheap one wouldn't start up half the time for some odd reason). You really have to play with all the tone settings to get it to not be tinny. But once you do, it sounds decent for the price. I love the look, as opposed to higher end stereos with the digital displays. My Jeep has a silver and blue motif, so I have put the background light on solid blue. Love it! The backup camera worked great, I just took it off for now, so I could figure out how to mount it in my favor. My last cheapo had no clock. This one does, but the display could be bigger for us older folks. lol. Lastly, seems to have more wattage than my last one.CONs:It's not touchscreen as everyone else has said, but I didn't care, as long as the buttons work well, which they do. I can't figure out how to get the clock off of military time, but I can live with that I guess. Biggest complaint, was I had to pay $7 for a battery for the remote, solely so I could get the background display color to stop changing colors and stay solid blue. (BTW, on the remote "Exit" actually means "Menu"). I'm sure the remote can be used for other things, but I only use FM Radio or Bluetooth. Again, clock display could be bigger and brighter, but ok. Again, has a very mid/treble tone until you mess with the settings.Overall, depending on the lifespan, which I don't know yet from 2 weeks, I would buy this again, unless of course, something better and comparably priced was available.

Solid cheap radio
Radio looks and operates well enough. Installed in my daughter's 2012 Fiat 500. Much more to this on the car as many CAN finctions run through the radio. I had to get another module for this but that would have been true with any radio for this application. Bought that module (Maestro iDataLink) and the trim kit from Crutchfield. This all made for some USB programming and a lot of extra connections, but like I said, this would have been with any radio for this car.The radio works well enough and was super simple to install. Backup camera works well and music audio muted as it should when reversing. Sound is good, stock amp activates and functions normally. Bluetooth audio works well and connects fast. Can't comment yet on call quality since I've not tried it yet. All positives are there for a solid purchase. The bad now. This radio doe NOT have an input for steering wheel controls though description says it does.. Not a huge loss at $40 US but I will eventually replace with a better radio that does support the steering wheel controls.

Great for the price.
Jul 21, 2021 11:52 PMBought this for my 1999 ford ranger. Great investment so far. One week no problems. Super easy to install if you have installed aftermarket radios. Reverse camera works great. Music is clean. Bluetooth works fine. Excellent for my daily regular use. Even if it only lasts 1 year (Which I hope it lasts longer) The price is great for one year use really. The one part that may get confusing for some. There is a pink wire on the harness labeled parking sensor. Use the video cable with red wire attached and connect one end to the pink wire and the other end to the power wire for camera and the to the reverse tail light wiring. That way the camera activates with the reverse tail light comes on. The radio will cut out and you will see the image automatically show up the shut off when you're done reversing.

Forced me to give it one star
This is the biggest hunk of monkey crap I have ever purchased off of amazon and I have bought some pretty crappy items. I bought one radio in November as a gift for my wife. She needed a new radio for a 1990 van and lets be honest, this was cheap. I rip the dash out, I buy the wiring kit, and get it all back together and it powers on and.......No sound. I thought oh maybe its the amp. wire the amp in....no sound. So I battery test it and hook it up to some external speakers and....no sound. Now like a moron I decided must be a crappy radio. So I get online and order another one. Wouldn't know.. same issue. No sound. Now I'm thinking I'm crazy so I run to the store and buy a nice one. Boom works right away... So two turds in a row. I wouldn't recommend this piece of trash to my worst enemy. wasted a week on these turds. Save yourself the pain and buy a decent one.
