Does not work at all
My mom has a Westinghouse ew37s5kw she dropped her remote because well , it’s just something that happens when you get older so she really upset at herself . Anyway I Ordered this and told her it was coming in today . She told me she couldn’t get it to work so I came over after work to connect it for her . I couldn’t either , turns out it just doesn’t work . There’s a clear area in the front of the remote and I figure that’s supposed to light up or something when it does work but yea ,neither of us has any luck . Hopefully I can get her one that works elsewhere , I guess you get what you pay for .

Less Expensive and Better
The RMT-17 remote works and arrived a day early.Upon inspecting, I noticed that the battery compartment cover design has changed and the change seems to be a positive one.The remote that came with the tv had a real flimsy cover. I only had the original remote for a few short days before the cover clips broke. I used the remote with the cover duct taped, but, eventually, the remote quit working completely.I believe I will get use out of this remote for the life of the tv.Additionally, before I ordered this remote from Amazon, I talked with Westinghouse support. They offered to sell me a replacement remote of the exact same design of the one that broke. They wanted $26. This one from Amazon cost $11 and change and shipped through Amazon Prime.I am pleased with the purchase.

Westinghouse RMT-17 TV Remote Control: It took a while to get the remote to work. It is not fully functional but will do. I received it as promised, via mail delivery. The item looks new.

Perfect Replacement (even BETTER!)
The media could not be loaded. Original had a battery door problem.They fixed it here, so this version is an EVEN BETTER remote than the one it replaces.And, at a very reasonable price.PERFECT!
