I have lived in Alaska over 30 years but know little about wild plants. People often point out plants that are edible or have some other use and I am always interested in learning more about them. Foraging is a lost art that I regret not learning. This book covers hundreds of plants organized by where they grow with great photography and information about each one. Just the book I was looking for.

I hunt Alaska. If I get in trouble protein food sources alone won’t cut it. If you’re in a survival situation you also need carbs, vitamins and etc. this book keeps you from walking by your foods while you struggle to stay above ground.Read it. Memorize it. Take it with you for reading in spike camp before you fall asleep.Yes, it’s written by a mushy hippie but she’s giving you gold. Cash it in.

This book is amazing! I can’t even believe how many herbs, and medicinal plants were out in my yard. I thought they were just weeds but I’ve been foraging all summer thanks to this book. It’s pictures are very detailed and colorful. It’s my new go to book.

I’m really excited to read this book! I just got it today so I can only judge the book by its cover, and the few pages I caught while flipping thru it. It’s smaller then I thought it was going to be, which is actually really cool because it’s easier to bring along with me on any adventure. Beautiful photo pages and tons of them! Amazing color images. As i on said, I literally just got it, but I can’t wait to read it & use it:) Good Buy:)
