I've read several books on this subject and this is the BEST! As a beginner, this book is outstanding! Very well laid out and explained. Great photos. I started highlighting information as I read it and almost covered the pages! I truly appreciate her beginner explanations of all types of paints, mediums, methods as well as finishing. Ms. VanEver covers different colors and mixing them. In addition, she clearly explains the different mediums and how much to add. The author covers every potential subject and she is very well versed. There's an inspiration gallery at the end which I found helpful. I highly recommend this book over any others for beginners. This book was printed in 2020 so it's very current. I wish I could observe the author personally painting. Thank you Ms. VanEver!

Being a beginner and still practicing, for those who like to have written media and pictures to follow it is just perfect! I do follow certain artists on YouTube but this is nice to gave handy! Thank you Amanda for taking extra care and giving other ways to enhance an Acrylic Pour. 🫶🏼
