Good cube, but mainly giving the 5 stars for the general concept of the 4x4 cube
If I was to recommend a single cube to master all cubes, that would be the 4x4 cube. If you can solve a 4x4 cube, you of course can solve a 2x2 or 3x3 cube, but also you can solve any higher cube, just with the algorithms you learn from a 4x4 cube. I in fact solved a 5x5 cube before solving a 4x4 cube, and did the 5x5 without looking for hints. But there are problems you need to solve with 4x4, 6x6 and up, that aren't present in odd-cubes like the 3x3 or 7x7. This all makes the 4x4 cube the best cube - it has all the "problems" you could want in a cube, but does not take an inordinate amount of time to solve. I am a slow cuber, my best 3x3 solution being in the 30s, but usually about a minute. To do a 4x4 takes me about 4 minutes, but when I go up to a 5x5, then, even though solution-wise the 5x5 is easier than the 4x4, the 5x5 takes me 3 times longer - about 12 minutes. So, if you want to master a single cube to master them all, I would recommend the 4x4. In solving it, you are solving and practicing a 3x3 (at least if you use the most common method - the Reduction method), and you are practicing all of the techniques you need to solve 5x5 cubes and larger. The 4x4 is the best balance between comprehensive techniques and being a reasonable use of time.

I love that cube
I love that cube. The colors are good. It turns very well. It is lighter than the normal version and feels less sturdy but it may be only a feeling.

Workable, needs tuning
This arrived with the screws way too tight, so loosening it up gave it much better feel. It's still a little sticky, I'm out of lube right now but when I get some more I think that might help a lot. This is an improvement over my other four by four, but it's not as good as I wish, so I'm thinking of springing for one of the really expensive magnetic four by fours: but those are like $50 so it's not really a fair comparison. This one works fine for now. Also, I started taking it apart to see how it works, only to realize that it has an awful lot of pieces: putting it back together it's pretty tricky. Masking tape makes all the difference.Although it doesn't directly influence quality, I'll note that they did something wrong with the logo: it rubbed off within minutes out of the box. I don't know if this signifies it's a fake or something, but: it implies inadequate attention to detail, which fits with the general feel of the cube. I found my lube and have tried readjusting the tension and lubing it, but it's still not as smooth as my old non-speed cube. I ordered a GAN 460M, so we'll see how it compares: I got a good deal at $40, but it's still a much more expensive cube.

Good for the price!
I just bought this cube since all I've ever had was the old Rubik's brand Rubiks Revenge cube. It moves soooo much nicer than that. Now when you get this out of the box you will have to break it in a little, and probably lube it up if you want it to move super fast, but the movements are nice, and it looks and feels nice. Its just a tiny bit smaller than the Rubik's Revenge cube, and just a tiny bit bigger than a 3x3. The colors are very bright and easy to tell apart compared to the Rubik's Revenge as well, in my opinion at least. I just love the stickerless look. I'd buy again!

The cube when dropped tried to break, but I was able to put it in a solid surface and using a key pop it back into place

Breaks easily
I got this cube for my 10 year old. It broke into pieces suddenly, even after using it gently. Would not recommend this product. Not very good quality cube. I had got it for using in competitions as speed cube. But very disappointed. Fixing is difficult, as all the parts are fitted very loosely. I used this cube for 4 days and ''voila'' it fell apart.

but the cube handles great and does not get stuck at all
My 13 year old son says: "I am still figuring out how to solve it, but the cube handles great and does not get stuck at all. As for the stickerless pieces, they add extra grip (for you speed-cubers out there) and do not require any special care; you don't have to replace stickers, and they can't fall off if they're not even there! (Having no stickers also eliminates the opportunity to cheat, if you ever get people who say "Why don't you rearrange the stickers?") If you are looking for a good cube, a challenge, or something to constantly get mad at, buy this cube."
