This modified version is absolutely awesome!I have a few pro versions and this is a winner.Only thing I wish they did different was to update the road wheels to metal like they did with the gears,idler and sprockets.Would highly recommend

These modified version Heng Long 1/16 scale RC tanks are wonderful in every aspect; looks, authenticity, performance, durability, and value for the money. The metal tracks and gears, along with battery and other upgrades installed on an already great plastic product, make these tanks a bargain compared to other brand RC tanks that sell at 3x the price. The Panzer IV is no exception. It arrived undamaged (a testament to great packaging) and worked flawlessly right out of the box. The controls are user friendly, meaning they are easy to operate and have numerous customization options. You can't go wrong withHeng Long RC tanks, and these modified/upgraded versions are the ice cream on top of the cake.

Initially had a couple issues with absent parts HOWEVER the seller was fast acting and communicated well to solve the issue. I have actually bought another rc tank from him since then.

The model looks very awesome and works as advertised. I gave it a 4 because I feel the cons can be addressed with better quality and control. So here are the pros:1) Looks awesome and the scaling is good with the other 1/16th scale models.2) The accessory components have nice detail and with some additional painting will look awesome.3) Works as advertised right out of the box except for a couple issues noted below.I have to down grade it on the following issues:1) All parts or accessories that are added for detail need to be re-secured/secured with a strong adhesive because they come off from the tank when it bumps into something or gets a jolt from climbing over something and then landing back down. Some parts I did not put on as it was obvious that the parts would break from either just handling it or the tank bumping into something.2) The battery compartment cover is only held in by a screw and tabs. Eventually, as much as the cover gets opened and closed, the plastic will wear out.3) The remote is a lot a flash compared to the functions that are needed. It also has no way to control the sensitivity of the inputs.4) The directions are poorly interrupted by the translator program they use "The hole of adding", etc. Though it makes for fun reading.

First foray into the RC world. Enjoying it immensely, great learning tank!Still getting used to the controls, but I'm getting better at steering it. Especially when it's coming towards me and things are reversed. Still usually go the wrong way with the turret, and forget using it while it's moving, my hands don't talk to each other well enough. Yet. The birds have dropped enough seed so that I've got little hide aways for it to pull into.Been years since I did modeling, but I got some paints and did a generic three color scheme camo (it comes plain grey).Wish the instructions are a bit more clear, as others noted, the translation program used makes reading "interesting". Fortunately there are enough YouTube videos to help me through the rough spots. The only one that seems in question is how much smoke oil to use. The factory supply hasn't run out yet, so I've not experimented there.

Alot of the extra stuff to put on the tank was broken. Parts of the body of the tank isn't flush. It's kinda frustrating because of how expensive it is.

It's bigger than I thought and it's great, on land it goes at a good speed, and this version with a more powerful battery is perfect, and the metal parts are essential, due to the weight and speed of the tank, everything worked correctly, the sounds, lights, cannon shots with ammunition included in the box, smoke, remote control connection
