You don't need to look at another rack, this is the one!
The only negative thing I can say has nothing to do with this product...My son helped me to install these on the top of our Outback when they arrived via UPS, and during that process, he stood in a precarious manner on the trim for the rocker panel of the car, which dislodged the clips holding it in place. Don't be my son and use a firm footing when installing these absolutely perfect kayak racks! I immediately used this to bring home an 18 foot canoe, and will be putting both yaks on when we get a break from the rain. The racks are durable, quiet, multifunctional, easy to put in and remove, and the best part was the price! It was cheaper than the sporting goods stores near me had available, and it looks to have been made with a lot more quality in mind than some of these other brands. Great value and will likely last for years to come.

Very nice
Lightweight and well made. Installed these on a roof rack of Jeep. Quick and easy loading. Would definitely recommend.

Holds kayaks.
I just test fit one kayak on it to day for an upcoming trip. Seems to do it's job. We'll made and easy installation.Only four stars because the center adjustable upright is still a little wobbly when tightened down but with straps should be fine.

Great customer service
I ordered 2 of these. 1 box was missing parts. I contacted customer service and they shipped the missing parts. They even followed up after delivery to make sure everything was good. That aside, these appear well built, look forward to using them.

Upgrade
Definitely worth the upgrade and money. I went from the standard ones to these after my old stationary racks ripped into a parking garage ceiling. Learned my lesson. These are good quality.

Surprised at the quality for such a great low price.
I am very happy with this purchase. The rack is well-made, solid and easily as well-built as my other much more expensive Thule folding kayak racks on my Outback. I needed a second set of racks for my old Honda Civic, and didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I purchased these. Very solid construction, and designed to fit any style crossbars. I had a hard time securing a 14 foot canoe, but these are great for smaller canoes and just about any kayak. I also like that the entire assembly is small enough that I still have room for my bicycle rack right beside the kayak rack. Great product that gets the job done without breaking the bank.

Still Not a Universal Mounting Design - but Getting Closer
I am updating this review to reflect some significant improvements resulting from several communications with Ikuram. This kayak rack had some good reviews and was listed as a universal mount design. It also had some negative reviews from buyers for whom the rack did not fit on their vehicles. I decided to give it a try, since both our vehicles have factory aero racks: and unfortunately, it just didn't work for our application. The first shipment was delivered early, but to the wrong state. Ikuram addressed this quickly and sent another rack via expedited delivery. At first glance, the kayak rack looked good: size is good, features look good, aircraft aluminum is a nice appearance and should hold up. Installation instructions were sadly lacking, but it is pretty simple to figure out how this has to be mounted on the vehicle. That's where the issues began. The original rack sent to me is by no means a universal mount design. Our 2018 GMC Acadia has a factory rack with aero crossbars, but the bottom of the original kayak rack is clearly meant for a square crossbar. As a result, the bottom of the kayak rack only makes contact with the top of the crossbar at two points over the top of the crossbar. And that makes it impossible to securely position the kayak rack. I have attached a photo showing the bottom of the original kayak rack and the limited contact with the top of the factory aero bar. The "universal mounting adapter" that goes under the crossbar to secure the kayak rack from the bottom was even worse. The adapters are curved so as to fit a round or possibly square crossbar, which means on an aero bar they only contact the crossbar in a couple of locations. I have included a photo of this as well, although the reflection of the crossbar may make that photo confusing. What is clear is the shape of the adapter, which does not allow a tight fit to the aero bar. Our kayaks weigh a combined 104 pounds, which is well under the rated capacity of the kayak rack; but since the rack only makes contact with the crossbars at a relative few points, it seemed to me that it could be dangerous at highway speeds. I contacted Ikuram via the email address for Customer Service provided with the documentation accompanying the rack, and attached 3 photos of the installed kayak rack showing the limited contact with the crossbars. And here is where an update is needed, because the response to that and a subsequent communication via the website was a day or two slower than I thought it might have been. But Ikuram did respond, and provided excellent customer service. I primarily worked with Cyan, who first took my photos to the engineers to see what could be done to make this fit my application. Their newest design looked like it might work, so they asked me to return the rack at their expense and they sent the new design (at no cost to me!). The new design is a lot closer to a universal mount, and it was a lot closer to fitting our Acadia; but it didn't come close to fitting the OEM aero bars of our 2005 Yukon XL. The first two photos are the original rack on the Acadia. The third photo is the redesigned rack (you can see the taper at either end) on the Acadia. The fourth photo is the redesigned rack on the Yukon (the curve on that adapter has been modified to be less rounded). I should mention the top of the crossbars will be scratched by the metal being mounted directly on them. I believe there could be ways to adapt either rack to factory aero crossbars, but to do so would void the warranty. And Cyan indicated there will probably be another design improvement coming early next year. I suspect if this fit properly, it would be a very good kayak rack-the quality appears to be better than some of the big names in kayak racks, and if my experience is typical, the customer service is top notch. So several aspects of my initial review needed to be revised for the better; but sadly, even the redesigned rack won't work for us. Would I be willing to try yet another design improvement from Ikuram if I were still in the market for a kayak rack? In a word, "YES." They have demonstrated a willingness to work with the customer and a desire to manufacture a quality product. Since I wasn't able to actually use the rack, I could only give it a middle-of-the-road rating; but I suspect it would have rated higher if it had fit the crossbars of our vehicles.
