Great for the price
We got these for some conference table we purchased. They are way cheaper then the one the table recommends and fit right in. We have been using them for some time and have held up great. Would buy again in the further .

Extra work to install it but completely worth it.
For all the people concerned about the installation problem, it is true that you will have to do a little work to make this item fit in your desktop, but if you have the skills to cut a hole for it to go in, you can take the extra steps to modify the hole so the power unit sits flat on the desk surface. You will need a jigsaw, 4 small wood screws, a hammer, a phillips screw driver, and a chisel or sharp utility blade. Steps: 1) Turn the box upside down on desktop and trace the box where you want the hole to go for the unit, including the 4 tabs. 2) Drill 4mm holes in each corner of the trace marks where the box will be installed. Do not go outside the trace lines. 3) Use a jigsaw to cut the box shape out of the table. The 4 holes are to help you insert the saw blade to make the cuts and make tight corners. Do not cut where the tabs will be. 4) Use a hammer and chisel to remove about 4mm from the surface of the desk top where the tab outlines are showing. This will be easy to do if your surface has a veneer top like mine. You may not even need a chisel, if you have a sharp cutting blade you can cut the tab outline then scrape away the wood surface until the tab s are about 3-4 mm below the desk top. You'll know you've removed enough wood from the tab space wheb the entire box sits evenly in the hole at the desk surface. 5) find 4 wood screws to hold the box in place and install them through each tab, then use the 2 screws that came with the power unit to install the item in the mounted box. It seems like a lot of extra work but you will be glad you did it because the unit looks great. Good luck!

Works great
Perfect for my project

Useless
The under mount plastic box that is to attach to the outlet section is poorly designed. This box is to prevent accidental access to voltage line going to the outlets. The holes for the screws to attach are not sized properly, the screws included are the wrong sized and the box is deep so good luck finding a drive small and long enough. Save you money and purchase from a different source.

not good for long term use
I had four of these items installed and so far two have had plugs stuck in them or burned up. They work great until then.
