Leroux Regular Instant Chicory 7oz/200g

The packaging is just perfect. Firstly, in a box, secondly, bubble, and then sealed.I really liked the chicory. I'm ordering a second time. I decided to try another one, but in the end, I liked this one better, it has a richer taste. It's easy to brew, I drink all day instead of coffee. Especially if you add ginger in seasoning or pumpkin spice or cinnamon, or masala spices and with oat milk - sooo delicious!

I was looking for a coffee alternative for a friend who cannot have any caffeine at all as it makes their heart stop. I read up on chicory and that the best was that which comes from France. I also needed it to be instant. I decided to start trying different brands to see which tasted in my opinion the best not expecting anything as I'm a coffee drinker. I plan on gifting some to our friend. I started with this brand and to my surprise I love this beverage. I now plan on buying it for myself and dividing my days between this chicory beverage and my coffee as well as buying some for our friend. I really am happy I tried this. I don't even know if I will try any of the other brands after all. I make mine with a sweetener and a tablespoon of half and half. It's delicious and it's not bitter and I recommend this to anyone wanting something that tastes good leaves no bitter aftertaste and has absolutely no caffeine. Some companies add coffee to their chicory but this is only the Chicory. I plan on this being a regular item in our home.

I was a nuKAF fan, but it wasn't available. This Leroux chicory product was suggested, so I tried it: it's FANTASTIC!Much larger jar (double the amount for $2 more), and it tastes just like the nuKAF. (I add unsweetened cocoa powder to it sometimes- delish.)

I was thinking that I had found something that would be a good substitute for coffee. It’s tastier than I had expected. However, I hadn’t really read up on it thoroughly until after I bought it. Then I read that chickory can block the absorption of calcium and iron and may not be good to take if you have thyroid issues or are on statins. I wish I had read about that ahead of time, so I’m just writing this review just to encourage others to do their research to be sure this is the beverage for them.

This stuff is pretty great! Taste real good mixed into coffee and taste decent on its own. Its a good caffeine free alternative. Another great aspect is it is much less likely to stain your teeth than coffee, so that's a win!

This stuff is great. I add a little with my coffee everyday.
