This Worked! Quickly Firmed-Up Loose Stools & Cheaper Than Other Brands.
My rescue dog has been having issues with very loose stools, diarrhea, and scooting for many months, and we believe the primary cause is not enough fiber in her diet, as the vet says she has no underlying health problems. She's an INCREDIBLY picky eater (and oh boy, is that putting it lightly!) with a very sensitive stomach. Standard dog food almost always causes her to get sick (we've essentially tried every brand under the sun including multiple types of RX food prescribed by the vet with little luck). Currently, two of the only things she tolerates well are steak and salmon. Our vet has her on a prescription vitamin that helps rounds things out nutritionally, and we wanted to add in fiber. I did a lot of research and decided to try the NoScoot powder. I have to be honest - my expectations were not high and I was concerned it would be difficult giving it to her. She doesn't like treats (unless they are of the stuffing-filled, cuddly, squeaky variety), so I opted for the powder and planned to sneakily sprinkle it on her food. The package arrived quickly, and I wanted to try it out right away. I prepared her meal, measured out the correct amount of powder for her weight, and put it into a separate small dish. However, before I could put it on her food, the freakin' cat leaped on the counter and with a quick swipe, knocked the dish to the ground. The dog, excited by the commotion, ran into the kitchen...and started licking the powder off the ground. I was surprised, to say the least. This is a dog who turns her nose up at peanut butter, biscuits, jerky, and everything else 99% of dogs would devour without a second thought--but she's eating up...powdered pumpkin and psyllium husk like it's a delicacy?! Well, okay! Do your thing, girl. It's now been almost a month of adding NoScoot to her breakfast and dinner, and she's only had diarrhea ONCE since. The improvement has been unreal. When she goes to the bathroom it's actually solid, and she isn't straining. They look like 'high-quality' poops, if that's a thing (I feel really weird even writing that, I'm just not sure how else to describe them without going into detail that very few would care to know). She *is* still scooting, but it has been significantly cut down - she has her yearly vet visit coming up so it's likely just time for her glands to be expressed, anyway.I highly recommend trying this out. The price point is lower compared to other brands with similar ingredients, and best of all, it works well (in my experience at least - I know all dogs are different). If you're debating between the powder supplement or the soft chews, I measured out the bottle and there are approximately 64 teaspoons in the bottle. The recommended dose of the powder is 1/2 a teaspoon per every 20 pounds, twice a day. My dog is 40 pounds, so I give her a teaspoon in the morning on her food, and a teaspoon at night (so a total of 2 teaspoons per day). The bottle should last about 32 days. The dose for the soft chews is 1 chew for every 20 pounds, 2x per day, so 4 chews a day for a 40lb dog. So, with a 40-pound pup (which is a standard medium-sized dog), the bottle of 60 chews would last for 15 days, the bottle of 120 soft chews would last for 30 days (or 30 days/60 days for a 20 pound dog).

Less scooting. Less dog mom being driven crazy.
Easy for my pet to eat. She thinks it's a cookie. Helps with her digestion and going to the restroom. Less butt scooting occurring. Seems very effective and made of great quality. Small enough for my small breed to eat and break apart without hurting her teeth.

Still Waiting for Results
I decided to try these chews for my two chihuahuas, hoping to address some ongoing anal gland issues. They love the taste, which makes it easy to get them to eat the chews. The chews do have a strong odor, but that’s not a concern for my dogs, who seem to think they smell delicious.I’ve been using these for about two months now, and while I appreciate the ease of giving them soft chews, I’m not entirely convinced they’ve had the desired effect. My dog, who struggles with anal gland issues, still scoots around, even though his glands were manually expressed by the vet tech only a few weeks ago. I plan to finish the entire bottle before trying a different product. I’ll monitor his progress and update my review if things improve. They may work for some dogs, but I’m not yet sure they’re the solution for mine.

The Best!
I’ve been using this with my medium sized lab mix for about 3 years. She had issues with compacted anal glands and little relief. Thankfully this product has helped her to naturally and regularly clear them without a visit to the vet! It’s the best!

Not Helpful
Not helpful to my dog. Hard to mix with anything for her to take it. Didn’t seem to help when I did get it in her. Still take her once a month to have her glands extracted.
