Great taste!
This is one of the staples from Japan that is delicious, satisfying as well as healthy! I make a combination of rice and ramen noodles with stir fry vegetables and use 1/2 can of the tofu and sauce to make a meal. I add two brined quail eggs for lunch or dinner! Simple, fast and inexpensive!

Favorite wrapper
These are my favorite inari wrappers. If you have left overs they will stay nice in the fridge for a bit. I like to take the leftovers, squeeze them out a bit, then cut into ribbons and add to ramen/miso soup.

Way too small to handle!
These pockets are very, very small and no much can be loaded in them. They are less than 2 inches wide and a little over an inch deep/high. Very delicate and must be loaded very carefully or they will tear. I recommend finding pockets in a LARGE size bigger than can hold more than one pickled plum. Other than that they are very tasty.

Best inari
I love this for making inari. The texture and flavor are exactly as expected and you get a lot of pockets in one Can . I usually have to save half for another meal.

These are perfect, and the price isn't terrible
I usually get these at an Asian market in Portland, but have moved pretty far from it. They sell them for $7 per can, so this is still cheaper than driving there just for these. There are two brands I've tried that are different but both good. I think this one is the tastiest. There are about 16 inari wrappers per can. They're a little delicate and even though I have made them dozens or even hundreds of times, I still tear 2-4 per can. The other brand that comes in a white can is sturdier, but has a faint peppery, almost patchouli-like flavor that I'm not a huge fan of. So these are my faves, even though I lose a couple. I set the torn ones aside and cut them up to add to avocado sushi rolls - so good! And if I'm making rice that's only for inari, I'll open the can first and use the liquid for part of the rice liquid for extra yum.

Dented Cans
All 3 cans are dented in several places, I haven't opened any of the cans yet, very disappointed, hopefully the product is ok.

difficult to open the pockets
There are , I believe 16 pockets to a can. They are flat and crammed into the can. Opening the pockets took patience and a delicate hand. finding the side that opens was pretty difficult. This is my first experience with this type of product so maybe this is normal. The pockets are very delicate and I managed to split the sides on about 4 pockets despite being gentle. Having said that, once I figured out the technique, things went well after that. They do have a nice taste and texture.
