Good Sturdy Carrier
First off, the rack was packaged pretty well. There was foam, plastic and straps to protect the rack from shifting or scratching during delivery. It was pretty easy for me to set up. Took me about 30 - 40 minutes to bolt everything together. I usually work on cars and other stuff though. It might by slightly more difficult for anyone with no experience in putting stuff together but not bad at all. Instructions are pretty straight forward.Once installed on the hitch the rack seemed pretty sturdy. I does wobble a little bit from side to side but from what I read that is pretty normal with any carrier that you buy. I guess there is hitch tighteners you can buy to fix that. It didn't wobble that much where it would be a problem but I might buy one of those later in the future for more stability. On some of the reviews on other carriers and even one review on this carrier said the carrier drooped and bent down. I did not have that issue with mine. The steel arm that holds the carrier basket is pretty thick. I cant imagine it bending or drooping at all. I stood on top of it to see if it could hold my weight and it did with no issues. I weigh 236 pounds. I even jumped up and down on it and it didnt feel at all like it was gonna bend. The arm that attaches to the hitch also has different holes so I was able to install it where I could still open the truck bed without hitting the carrier or cargo I was carrying. The carrier also came with a large cover, net and 2 straps. The cover is a little thin and I wish it was a zip up bag instead of just a cover but thats more like an accessory to the rack so it wasnt a big deal and I guess I can purchase a better bag separately if I feel I need to in the future. The net that It came with works really well. the hooks on the net attach pretty good to the rails on the rack, they do a good job of keeping everything in place. The straps were also pretty good. I had no issues with those either.Overall I'm pretty happy with it. The carrier feels sturdy and has plenty of storage space for luggage on trips. I have not used it on a trip yet but If I have any issues in the future I will update this review. Also make sure you buy a hitch pin if you dont have one already. That was the only item missing to make it complete. They are only a few bucks at walmart or amazon so no big deal. Good carrier rack, would recommend.

Super sturdy
I absolutely love this rack. I just got back from a recent quail hunt where I traveled more than 350 miles in each direction. On the way in and out I used this rack to store a large cooler, 5 gallon gas tank, 5 gallon propane tank and some firewood gathering tools. Once onsite I used the rack to store firewood I collected from a nearby stream bed. I left the rack on my vehicle the entire trip, even while driving off road in difficult terrain, which occasionally caused the rack to scrape objects. Despite all that abuse the rack stayed intact and performed better than expected. The rack also came with accessories like ratchet straps and the bungee cord netting pictured that also performed well. I would definitely recommend this item.

One wrong piece, looks good otherwise
Taking her on the maiden voyage in a couple days. To my dismay, the Clevis pin that was sent was wrong. It’s the right size, but it has no hole to receive the cotter pin. Which is obviously an issue. I ordered an aftermarket one that should be here in time. Other than that it feels sturdy. The accessories are pretty useless but the extra straps are nice. Seems like a great value for the money, hardware mistake not withstanding. Also note: YOU WILL HAVE TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN HITCH PIN! So just go ahead and pick one up. I also bought a beefier hitch stabilizer.Update:We took the trailer on a 400 mile journey through the twists and turns of the mountains and on 75 mph roads with four large totes, 2 chairs, a gas can; and various shovels, rakes, and ladders. We drive a Toyota 4Runner and the rear lights were visible. None of the hardware loosened up, and with the hitch stabilizer, there was no bounce or sway. We could not find the right size Clevis pin so ended up buying a nut and bolt to just lock it down. Makes it hard to use the folding mechanism, but it’s fine. Straps are good, cargo net is kind of useless as is the bag. But the carrier alone is worth the price and we highly recommend it!

works great
Straps and cover did not last long. With that said the product itself is great. I purchased this and July of 2021 and have taken it on vacation for the past four years. Fully loaded and each trip was a minimum 2500 miles. It is now 2025 and I plan on using it again on this vacation no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a little extra room.

This has been a great buy for trips where we’ve needed to bring bulky items or just needed more interior space. Nice quality and easy to use

Incorrect instructions but sturdy carrier
Ok, the instructions are incorrect in 1 place, and diagrams are hard to see in most places. Be sure to have an extensive metric ratchet set to build (the largest bolts need a 19mm). Can’t imagine how many hours it would take to build it otherwise. They send a tiny flat wrench sized for 1 of 2 sized bolts, and it’s worse than useless.Once it’s all together and installed on the hitch, it’s sturdy and well sized. I added some extra red reflector tape around it along the the top rail and some on the underside for when it’s folded up.I didn’t even bother with the cover or the net. Used 1 retractable ratchet strap and 4 bungees to hold our bins on for our SC to CA drive. No issues at all!It does have some wobble when it’s folded up but doesn’t make noise audible when driving.
