Real Quality

So I opened the box and the knife that I got out was a lock blade with a black handle. I ordered the green wood handle so I was a bit confused. There was a second lock blade in the box that had the green handle. It was very nice, the handle was free of sharp edges and nicely polished. The green handle doesn't look like wood or feel like wood but it's spectacular in feel and appearance. The knife sharpener has a brass handle that is very short and it's difficult to get a good grip on it. I'm not sure how useful it will prove to be as a sharpener for the 2 knives. I prefer the ceramic stick type sharpener that forms a "V" between the ceramic rods. A few licks on that type of sharpener usually is all that's necessary to touch up a dull blade.The green knife is a bit larger of the 2 knives, and has the Damascus steel blade. A very nice knife and well worth the price.The sheath has a place for the sharpener to be stored securely and that's a nice touch. It seems well made, and good quality. I would definitely purchase again from this company.

It's exactly as pictured and decent quality, very good actually from what I can discern now holding it. I can't testify to durability yet as I just got it today but for the price, it seems like a hell of a deal. It's very beautiful and elegant. I love the deep rich tones of the Buffalo horn. These would make a very nice gift for masculine friends and family. If I received this knife as a gift, I'd pee myself, it's that nice.It was covered in oil and took some intense wiping down. I don't have any ideas as to what kind of attention and care it'll take since they coated it in so much oil but I'm not concerned, for the price...it seems pretty hard to find any faults with it so far. If need be, I can certainly keep some oil on it once in a while.Did I mention it's beautiful? Oh...it is.If I had to find something to improve on, it'd be cool to have an easy open version with a thumb post for one hand opening but this knife was never supposed to be that. It opens easy enough and it's so nice looking, lol. Everything is nice and tight on it. I can't believe they are priced so nicely, you'd never believe it if someone handed you this knife. The sheath looks decent quality as well. I have not looked at it super closely as I never use a sheath anyway just carry them in my pocket but what little I messed with it, it seems quite good as well. Super impressed with this deal, what a bargain! I want the entire set!I have not been paid to review this product in any way, I ordered and paid for it for my own use. I'm just that satisfied with it.

Didn't get a Gerber or or Buck on purpose and price / value is about right. I notice the ad pines on about the big Damascus folding knife w/sheath and fails to expound on the smaller one so this review is focused here. The 5-1/4" folding locking knife is 3/8" thick (+ 1 star). I like the bone inlay myself. I found the lock is not positive... a small pressure on back of the blade will fold it (- 2 star). Neither knife has a "flip tab" so open/closing requires grabbing the blade. I feel certain there are "hands on" aspects of fabricating these but it appears to me way more automated than is let on. It arrived oily & sharp (+ 1 *) but the blade is just plain steel and the cutting edge rests against the inner race (- 1.5 *). After much oiling and exercising, the assy is still so tight the blade is difficult to open - with no flip-tab, you have to grip the blade or tip to "lock" the blade full open (- 1 *). It is light weight in pocket and fully concealable (folded) in my fist (+ .5 *).Poor Customer Service could make this a 1* rating ... dont bother, you get what you get - but I kind of like the big knife once I oiled the sheath for carrying... too thick for my pocket. I forgot to mention the sharpening tool.... forget I even mentioned it :-/
