Can I write tape to cd?

No, this unit does not record on to CD from a tape.

Just confirming that this works in 220V right?

Guys I bought this in the US for use in india by my parents. I personally know that this works on 220v. The only point of caution I have is this... the set comes with the voltage selector switch on the back set to 110v. So if you are going to use it in a 220v country, you need to switch it to the 220v side BEFORE you plug it in, otherwise you will blow the transformer.Unless this unit changed drastically, it works on both 110 and 220v supplies as long as you use the switch on the back properly.

Will it play music from an iPhone?

As an mp3 player connected via a 3.5 mm audio input cable, obviously yes, with the selections being controlled on the iphone. When iphone is connected via the USB cable, I am not sure, i dont have one. For most mp3 players or even USB flash drives, when connected via USB cable, the player recognizes all the mp3 files as a serial list of music files, and the remote can be used to progress through them one by one. However, it is not as user-friendly as simply operating the controls on the mp3 player or the iPhone to select and play the desired music. The Toshiba player is thus bring used as an amp/speaker system only.
