I literally just let my butterflies go after like a month of them morphing into butterflies. I loved this activity and they truly do provide you with everything you need. It was functional as they gave you all the tool to allow the caterpillars to grow into healthy butterflies and the instructions were extremely clear and detailed. It is an amazing experience for child development and learning and was simply a beautiful experience. The mesh they give you for the butterflies is not huge but that makes since bc you are supposed to let them go soon after they become butterflies but I couldnt bring myself to let them go and fed them the sugar water solution, fresh fruit, and even fresh squeezed fruit juice and they all survived up until today. So get it watch them grow, let them go right away or keep them, but it is an amazing experience.

Very durable, using this for the second year in a row with my daughter. Just ordered more caterpillars and we are raising butterflies again this year. So much fun for kids. Also raised butterflies with my boys when they were little. I highly recommend doing this with your kids at least once, plus a great way to get more pollinators.

Annual purchase that never disappoints. This is my 12th year buying the kit. This is fun for all ages. The brochure has very detailed instructions with pictures of what to expect and do. We raise beautiful butterflies, feed them fruit and sugar water for days and then let them go. My elderly residents look forward to this every spring as do my nieces and their classrooms.

just bought this for my little sister, 3 of the 5 chrysalis came dead. we waited and waited but they just shriveled up and now she’s scared to come near the two that are alive because she’s upset. super upsetting and such a waste

Product yourself is great. A wonderful experience for kids. If it would have been delivered by Amazon themselves but I gave it five stars my Amazon delivery guy is competent and good at his job. And wouldn't have delivered it to the wrong house and left it in the sun like FedEx did. I would highly recommend buying this for your kid just make sure if it's delivered by FedEx to track it and retrieve it ASAP

My grandkids loved this! We followed all the instructions and 8 out of 10 catapillers emerged as butterflies and we just released them into nature today. It was a great summertime project.

would definitely buy again and highly recommend others to buy. I think every child should experience this at least once I remember doing this back in second grade and it was very memorable while only three of my caterpillars made it into butterfly. Everything else was amazing.
