Made With Love
Optimus Primal goes everywhere with my son. It is a sturdy toy and while none of the pieces have come off, if they do they will easily snap back on like other Transformers produced in the last decade. For my part, I appreciate the excellent details and painting. It is obvious that this toy was assembled by fans of the original and those designers have successfully improved on it in every way. The quality does drive up the price about $5 more than a comparable Transformer and parents should observe the age recommendation.

No Monkey Business Here!
Wow, Hasbro knocked this one out of the park with such a strong launch for the War for Cybertron:Kingdom line. If you're a fan of Beast Wars, you'll absolutely love this Optimus Primal figure. His transformation is so close to what you see on screen and he's jam-packed with about 6 weapons, two shoulder cannons, two that come out of his wrists, and two swords. His transformation's fun and simple, but on my copy ,everything's pretty tight so it might be difficult for younger children. The fact this figure looks better than the CG model of Beast Wars says ALOT. Wow I'm just amazed at this figure. Joints are nice and tight. I can shake this figure violently (not that I would!) and he'd stay stiff and in his pose. The only gripe I'd have with this figure(i got mine at a reduced price so i have no complaints.) is he's priced at a voyager figure when he's around the size of a larger deluxe figure such as Ironhide or Ratchet. Other than that, I'd say this figure's worth the money. His paint applications are pretty good, his joints are tight and his detail is downright incredible. I'd go as far as call this figure a "budget masterpiece" figure. Well worth it.

Mini masterpiece
This figure is absolutely amazing. The joints are great. He's well articulated. And his robot mode and beast mode are just amazing. His swords are really animation accurate and his shoulder cannons are a really nice feature that doesn't compromise the figure at all. Definitely worth the buy, even at scalper prices.

This figure is just "Prime".
Optimus Primal looks just like the beast Wars cartoon in his robot form. Its pretty amazing how well they are able to engineer these figures. My only gripe was the chest plate kind of moving around a bit. Its not horrible and its not perfect so I guess its just room for improvement...The beast mode is a bit more realistic looking than the show was with more detailing, but the transformation is not able to hide all the robot parts. Especially in the legs. I wonder if there really is any material that would substitute plastic and do the job? Its an interesting concept that I would love to take part in (engineering these figures). The packaging was a little dinged up on arrival and looked to had been opened previously. I wonder about that, but it didn't make a huge deal to me as I preserve packages when I can, but I open 99% of the stuff I get. This is definitely a good gift idea for someone who is a fan. These figures leave the old ones in the stone age in my opinion. Transmetals figures were the ones I actually spent money on as a teen (yes I was already too old when they came out) but its great to have some good looking figures of the original beast modes.

Detailed
Lots of details, doesn't feel cheaply made , and easy to transform. I grew up in the 90's loved Beast Wars and wanted Primal but the toy looked like crap sadly this was common amongst the first line released. This one really looks like Primal does on the show I like it thunk u will too.

Rattrap Included!
The Optimus Primal that I received in the mail is not quite what was advertised here. The so-called "golden disk card" was not included, but it DID come with a surprise Rattrap figure exactly like the one that you can buy separately in this new "Kingdom: War for Cybertron" line. (I know this because I had just bought it prior to this bundle package.... Now I have two; which is fine, considering how small and delicate it is. Nice to have a backup. It's a plague of Rattraps!)The Optimus figure is otherwise what I expected, but the box is different than what was advertised. See my own pictures included.

A waste of packaging but a nice toy all the same.
I like that it was packed well, intact box and all, beautiful figure.Bad thing is it's a waste of packaging. Like black arachnia, small toy but a big box? Please design an eco friendly box hasbro. Too much waste.Makes you feel short-changed because of the actual toy relative to box size.
