Smooth and fine, and the perfect pen!
These are my favorite pens, ever. I used to completely, 100% prefer ballpoints, but since I found these Sharpie S-gels, I have been converted to gels. The biggest reason I like these far better is two-fold.First of all, they write SO smoothly, I just love the way they glide across the page! And even more importantly, the tip is 0.38 points, which is even finer than the 0.5 I usually get, and that makes them perfect! I have always been a 'fine' point gal, preferring the 0.5 over the 1.0 and even over the 0.7, but since I found the 0.38, I have been spoiled, and I will never go back.In my experience, Sharpie has always had the best quality of markers and pens, and these are no exception.

My Favorite Pens
Best pens ever. They write smoothly, the ink flows evenly, doesn't smear, and they fit my hand nicely. I think the world agrees because they're hard to keep around. They walk off on a regular basis.

The Ultimate Smooth Writing Experience with Unbelievable Precision
As someone who writes a lot, both for work and personal use, I'm always on the lookout for the perfect pen. The Sharpie S-Gel Pens with the ultra-fine point have truly impressed me and have quickly become my new favorites. The first thing I noticed is how incredibly smooth these pens write. The gel ink flows effortlessly across the page, providing a consistently clean and crisp line without any skipping or smudging. It makes writing feel like a breeze, and I actually find myself enjoying the process more. The ultra-fine point (specify the actual point size if you know it, e.g., 0.5mm) is fantastic for detailed work, note-taking, and anyone who prefers a very precise line. It allows for neat and legible handwriting, even in small spaces. I've found it particularly useful for tasks like filling out forms or making detailed annotations.I also appreciate the quality of the ink. It's richly pigmented and dries quickly, which is a huge plus for left-handed writers like myself who often struggle with smudging. I haven't experienced any issues with the ink bleeding through most types of paper, which is another significant advantage. The design of the pen itself is comfortable to hold, even during extended writing sessions. The grip is well-designed and provides a secure and comfortable feel. They also have a sleek and professional look.In conclusion, the Sharpie S-Gel Pens with the ultra-fine point offer an exceptional writing experience. They combine the smoothness of gel ink with the precision of an ultra-fine tip, resulting in a pen that is both a pleasure to use and highly functional. If you value a smooth, precise writing experience and appreciate quality ink, I highly recommend giving these pens a try. They are a fantastic addition to any stationery collection!

The best black pens I have ever used
Where have these been my whole life....??? I first encountered these when at a doctor office. The receptionist handed me one of these to sign in and it was like love at first pen stroke. I signed my name with such precision I nearly gasped... The glide of pen across rough paper, the shimmer of ink before it dries... The feel of it in my hand... Everything was perfection. Angels sang, hallelujah. I thought about this pen all night. And the entire next day. Every time I picked up my own pens, I could just marvel at how inferior they were. How had I gone nearly 40 years never truly knowing what it was like to write with a pen?? I tried to tell myself I didn't need these pens. I tried to bargain with myself that I could survive with lesser writing tools. But I gave in. When it's love, it's love. I gave in and bought these. I haven't regretted it.

Great for the lefties!
As a left handed person these are great. Always work first try, fluid ink flow, super smooth pen quality, grip is comfortable, my only dislike is occasionally there’s still a little ink build up and smudging but super minimal in comparison.

These are my new favorite pens. I love using them for notes, everyday writing, etc. They don’t bleed and they don’t smudge.

Write smooth and fine
My hand writing is terrible and I have to fill out government forms that only allow a certain amount of space. These pens not only write g, great, but they seem to make my hand writing a little better and allow enough space for my required forms.

Overall disappointing -- you get what you pay for ...
This review is for the Sharpie S-Gel 0.38 mm ultra fine point black pen.PROS:-Pricepoint-Ergonomics-Ink colorCONS:-Scratchy-Inconsistent ink flowI tend to like finer-point pens, and the generally positive reviews of the Sharpie S-Gel 0.38mm pen persuaded me to take a chance on these.A good pen is reliable. You don't think about what it is doing. It just writes, and it does so consistently, every time. A good pen is not fussy. It just kind of blends into the background of what you are doing; a good pen makes your task easier. This Sharpie is NOT a good pen.I have had other 0.38mm pens that are initially scratchy but eventually smooth out (Hi Tec C pens by Pilot come to mind.) This one has shown no signs of breaking in - it remains consistently scratchy. Scratchiness is somewhat forgiveable, but this pen also has inconsistent ink flow. When it works, it lays down a nice, darkly pigmented line. When it isn't working, the ink flow skips and comes out grey. Coupled with the scratchy feel, you are left with frustrating. (This is despite storing the pen vertically, with the clip up, as directed by the manufacturer. So instead of a writing instrument that blends into the background and makes your task easier, you are left with a pen that calls attention to itself by virtue of its extremely noticeable flaws. This was a disappointing purchase.
