Limited by Mac OS Obsilesence, But Great All The Same
It came free with a shell in a nice black color, it boots and runs well and has a decent battery life. I actually like that it's limited in what it can run, but that's just me, because it is mostly for writing and working. I have found ways to install older Mac writing and presentation software for my job. The highest priority was that it can open and run the latest version of QLab, which it does effortlessly. It also runs a few other theatrical programs I need to.Pros:Works well, good battery life, and boots easilyDistraction free work environment, and light weight to take anywhereHDMI port installed rather than needing connection for HDMIUSB Hubs all work as intended.Great inexpensive way to get a Mac for exclusive software like QLabCons:The OS is kneecapped by apple, by design, and there's not really a work around.Charging cable is super shortA little slow running anything, largely due to ageOverall, I highly enjoy my silly little laptop. It's kind of charming and goofy, and a good introduction to Apple for a PC user. After all, if I mess it up, I just wipe it and start again. Runs the basic software I need without much extra. Travels well, and provides me a 2 computer setup for when I need to run lights and sound for an event. I really am glad these renewed options exist for purchase. However, don't think it will run everything under the sun, it won't, but if you know that going in... It'll be just fine, and perfectly serviceable.

Laptop was in worse condition than described.
I knew when buying a renewed laptop it was going to have it's minor flaws. As amazon states in the description, "excellent condition" is as "Excellent (Screen: no scratches. Body: no signs of cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, etc.) will be visible when the product is held 12 inches away)." and "Fully Functional (exceeds 80% of original battery life, generic or OEM accessories and packaging provided)."This laptop came filthy with hair, dust, and other junk within the keyboard and on the screen. The charger also came in the same condition with noticeable stains on it as if it was never cleaned. Furthermore, the keyboard was making weird clicking noises when pressing down some of the keys (ex. the arrow keys, alt, or space bar). The top right corner of the keyboard cover was also warped as if some sort of liquid had been spilled on the laptop, also somewhat consistent with the key board noises. Finally the screen had a large 6-7 inch scratch noticeable from well over 12 inches away, as well as additional scratches near it as if a cat had walked across the screen a time or two.Overall the macbook and its physical parts were okay and working good, but the cosmetic condition was no where near as described. The laptop was returned for a refund.

Was apprehensive at first, but very satisfied!
Earlier this year I had purchased a similar Macbook from another seller - great experience, so I decided to purchase another for my wife - Used another vendor, laptop came, and the screen was glitchy, sent it back, got a refund, purchased another (from a different vendor). This one came dead on arrival - No POST. Sent it back. Purchased THIS one - its been working great, no issues. Not giving 5 star on the battery life because it only last a couple of hours (to be expected on a laptop of this age). No blemishes or major scratches and my wife has been very happy with it. So, long story short, had some bad experiences with other sellers, sent back some bad models, ended up with a winner!

This was a nice computer but unfortunate my son could not download the apps he needed on here so I had to return it and get newer model.

Great reliable product
First impression:Great bank for the money. I was concerned with buying a five year old laptop but apple makes a great product. I’ve always bought windows PCs so this is my first apple PC. I have to say I’m Impressed. It looks and feels sturdy.Functionality:It runs smoothly and USB data transfer speeds are much faster than my windows PC with an i7 quad core processor. Video playback even at 4k quality runs smoothly. The screen quality is good. I see no problems with it but it doesn’t amaze me like my Windows PC that was almost double the price of this MacBook Pro. The keyboard is simple and easy to use with built-in lights. The built-in speakers are are loud and clear which is huge plus for me. The power adapter is also well designed.Connectivity:The early 2015 MacBook Pro 13in doesn’t have a CD drive but it has a Hmdi port, 2 USB ports, 2 lightning ports, a head phone jack, and a memory card slot. Wifi and YouTube cast works but I don't have an apple tv to test desktop cast or a TV with airplay.Because it’s my first Mac PC I had to google basic features, commands, and how to use the MacBook.Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another MacBook in the future
